Best Song Ever – One Direction

Over the next couple of weeks, the Espanto's flew their way to Philippines a week earlier than our flight. Darren's departure was more frustrating than I thought so.

Being stuck in Canada without him kind of sucks. I wasn't used without him bugging around. Though it annoys me all the time, I miss the way he pounded at my room's door every Saturday to ask me to do something with him.

For the nth time of the day, I sighed and Parry sighed with me. "Come on, Nicole," she complained, "Can't you at least try to act like you're a little interested with this?" she asked as she rummaged through the racks.

"I don't like shopping and you know that." I said. "Why are we here? Isn't your birthday over? Why are we shopping?"

She rolled her eyes and sighed. "You'll be living for a couple of months; can't I at least treat you with something good?" she said. "Besides, I'm not going to spend a lot if that is what your concern is."

"If you want to treat me with something good, you should have just brought me to a McDonalds' chain to eat!" I defended. "And out of all the things you can buy me, you're going to buy me a dress?"

"Come on," she whined as she checked a pink dress which totally made me go EEK! "Just one dress, lady. Don't be too paranoid about the fact that I'm going to buy you all of these, even if I can." Suddenly my phone rang and she smiled slyly, "You're knight misses you, I bet you should answer that."

I rolled my eyes buy fished out my phone from my pocket, anyway. "Darren?" I answered, "What's the matter?"

"Nothing!" he said and I can imagine him smile like a kid again, making his small eyes go smaller as his smile gets wider. "I just wanted to call you, is that bad?" I rolled my eyes on the question. "Anyway, what're you doing there? I bet you're bored coz you're not with Me." he challenged and I visualized him with a grin on his face.

"Yes, I am bored coz I am in a department store, in a section full of dresses to be exact, with Parry." I said and I heard Parry scoff at that. "And I'm standing here, waiting for her to finish her picking for a dress which she said, she would buy for me. Crazy, right?"

"Well that is good for you!" he exclaimed. I thought he would pick my side, why is he encouraging me in this dress-shopping? "I mean, finally! You can pick up a dress and wear it one time. I'm glad you're slowly turning into a girl!"

"I AM NOT A LESBIAN." I quickly defended since I knew that is where he'll put this conversation into. "And besides, I have blouses in my closet and they're girly stuffs."

"Yeah, but the first time I saw you in a dress was when you sang in a wedding which is poorly almost a month ago. Then second is when we graduated high school. And Gods, we're best friends since diapers!" he said. "So that makes it like... you've only wore a dress twice in your sixteen years of existence?"

I rolled my eyes as if he can see me. "Whatever."

"As I thought you would answer me." he laughed. "Anyhow, I have to go." He said. "I'm kind of like... watching with Lyn in the house we got here and it's a little annoying coz the weather is... hot."

"Wow, thank you for making my interest of going there grow more." I sarcastically said. "Should I still buy some Sour Patch candies?" I asked him.

"Please," he agreed. "Well, good bye for the mean time, Nic." He said. "I miss you."

A smile crept through my features and I felt my cheeks burn. I tried to hide my reaction from Parry since I know that she'll just tease me about it. "Uh..." I stammered. "Yeah, I... miss you too." I said and I heard him chuckle before he declined the call.
