My life has been a mess when Darren entered my life. I grew up with him and spent almost the whole of my life with him. We lived just steps away from each other, making it easy to meet up anytime we want to.

I remember climbing out of my room's window to escape and to walk with Darren to the beach as we usually do, instead of finishing my homework. I remember coming home with wet clothes because Darren carried me on his shoulders and damped me on the water. He would jump in with me anyway, but he was taller and he can go to the deeper part of the sea than I can ever do.

I remember that when we were ten, we went in the same competition. I remember that we made friends with different kids too, but the bond between the two of us was inevitable. Though we made friends and had groups, its still has been the two of us at the end. That was when we realized that we were inseparable. I remember that we both lost the competition, and I remember the feeling of being downed coz I failed. But I also remember the feeling of being encouraged again because Darren was beside me and he said that it wasn't the end of the world if we lost, coz there's always a second chance.

I remember the time when we met Parry in her braces and glasses era. She was so nerdy that time and every single kid in the school ignores her. But Darren and I befriended her up until she decided to get retainers instead of bulky braces and decided for eye contacts instead of her thick glasses. We were known in the school coz we were too close to each other and kids looked up on us, coz the three of us were amazing in singing and we had the looks, just like how they said it.

I remember hiding something in his closet when he went to the comfort room to wee. I remember the look on his face when he saw his favourite video game in the closet. I remember him running to our house and hugging me for the first time, saying that he knew it was me who purchased the thing for him since TitaMarinel refused to buy the video game because he and Lyn fight over video games all the time and he was more than thankful. He said he knew that I turned down the idea of buying a VIP ticket to One Direction's concert just so I can buy that video game he's been dying to buy.

"Why did you buy me this?" he asked. "Aren't you supposed to be using the money for the band's concert?"

"I used the money that was for the tickets for that," I told him.

He rolled his eyes. "Obviously, the money for the tickets were grand. But why did you buy the video game instead of buying yourself tickets? Why did you put this on priority over the chance of seeing ZaynMalik?"

I smiled at him. "They won't remember my face anyway," I told him, "And I would only be seeing them for hours. Unlike if I buy that." I point to the video game. "I would be playing that damn thing with you every time you feel like it, and you will remember the look on your face when you realize that I play better than you."

I remember getting him into the bar to watch our gig even though he was going to have to pass through his curfew. I remember seeing him at the back row of the bar coz he wasn't used to places like bars or clubs. I can still recall the part when he was slowly thumping his head along with the music, seemingly enjoying our performance as he downs glass by glass of the light liquor he was drinking. I remember him getting his own ass drunk just because he downed a glass of tequila without the aid of salt and lime. I still remember feeling his lips on mine when he kissed me for the first time, even under the influence of the alcohol he took.

I remember Darren giving me lectures about getting away from males because he's trying to be protective. Little did I know that he was slowly getting jealous when I am with someone else besides him or Parry. I remember how he cussed me out when I told him he has no right to get me avoid boys that just wants to be friends with me.
