A few more weeks have passed and it was going to be a big week. The night when Darren and I totally got ourselves hooked in our make out session on the floor, was the same night that we went to TitaMarinel asking about her side about the competition that Darren planned on joining. She got a little on doubt about the idea, since she knew that the competition is like the biggest singing competition in the country. But she agreed anyway, when Darren really went pursuing her more than how I expected he'd be doing.

So yes, as I said, this was going to be a big week. Or maybe just a big day, I think. Today was the day that Darren would do the auditions and hope for his luck in the contest. In my side, I know my boyfriend can do it. God, we were both finalists in the contest back in Canada, so there's no doubt he'll get into this one.

I held his hand and almost pouted when I felt that the usual warmth of his hand were nowhere to be felt. "Whoa, this is a major issue," I whispered to Darren and to his sister who was sitting on my lap as we waited for Darren's number to be called. "DarrenEspanto is actually nervous!"

Darren, on the other hand, didn't speak. He turned to me, his face looking as pale as ever. If this wasn't a serious situation, I'd be giggling over how cute a Pale Darren looked like. "God, this is killing me. Can we just go home; the two of us make out and forget everything about this?"

"What do you mean about make out?" little Lyn asked innocently as she looked up to meet my eyes. I turned to look at Darren and glared at him for allowing his little sister to hear his words.

"Baby, that thing is only understood by big boys and big girls, okay?" I told her but she doesn't seem to buy the alibi.

"But you said I'm already a big girl." She whined. "So aren't I supposed to know about that?"

"Lyn, adults as in someone as big as your Ate Nicole and me," Darren said to Lyn and I could just smile in relief for his catch. It was totally hard to explain something touchy to a kid. "Yes, you're a big girl but you're still young."

Lyn simply nodded and just found business with the fake gems that decorated my shirt. I looked at Darren and smiled as his rescue. "You know, I never knew that DarrenEspanto knew the meaning of back out."

He laughed. "I'm just nervous, is all."

"What can I do to ease you up?" I asked.

"Beg for it and back off the bet." Darren snickered and I ended up smacking his arm. "What? You asked me what you can do to ease my nervousness so I answered what I wanted."

"Besides that, of course!" I exclaimed to him. "And just for the record, I won't back off from my own bet. So I guess, you'd be the one begging for me,"

Just when Darren was about to protest from the statement, he was called by one of the staffs. This just made the poor guy go a little paler. I took his hands on both mines and connected our foreheads, doing some tiptoe for my forehead to meet his. "Whatever happens, I'm still you're number one fan," I whispered to him and his eyes slowly looked up to me and I saw the familiar happy glint on it.

"Give me some lucky charm?" he asked and I smiled as I planted a soft kiss on his lips. I pulled away and saw Darren get back to his usual complexion, the paleness now long gone. "Thanks," he said with a bright smile as he followed the staff member.

"Miss, please follow me," another staff member instructed me, Lyn and TitaMarinel. We followed suit to the guy and soon found ourselves in somewhere like a viewing room. There was a flat screen attached on the wall and the scenario being shown was the exact thing that is happening at the stage, to where Darren would be performing for his audition.
