It really did upset me when I found out that Darren was only to stay until earlier this morning. He just stayed in the house for three days and he has to be in the city again, for another batch of exposures. I thought celebrities need to have some self time, too?

I prepared myself for this type of set up in my relationship with Darren, knowing that his success in that competition really meant to have big changes in our relationship. I mean, I understand. But there are really parts in me that miss the time when we spend more time together than just talking in phones or in Skype. Actually, to be honest, ever since he left, he seemed to be out of it. I received no calls or texts from him. I tried dialling his Skype, only to find out that he was offline.

At first, he sends me messages but not as frequent as it used to be. He calls me too, but sometimes, he was usually more eager to decline it than to prolong our conversation. If I ask him to talk to me more, he'll get upset to me or just ignore me and decline the call regardless. I don't know what's up with him or if there's something wrong, I just think he's a little off.

As usual, I stayed in the living room as I watched over at Lyn since TitaMarinel defied my offer to help her with few of the chores and just told me to look over at her youngest daughter who seemed to be hypnotized by Sofia the First. TitoLyndon, being the good man of this family, had work so it was the three of us who were left in the house. Suddenly and finally, TitaMarinel approached me to give me something to do besides watching over Lyn who doesn't give a care in the world as long as she gets to watch the princess cartoon.

"Uh, Nicole, can you like, do me a favour?" she asked me, "Your Tito is off to work and Lyn doesn't seem to be in the good mood to go out," she laughed as she looked at her youngest.

I stood up from my sitting position from the couch. "Sure, what is it?" I asked her with a smile.

"I might sound like a teenager at this one, but can you buy me a magazine?" she asked me with a chuckle, "That magazine has the written version of Darren's first interview and you know me, I'm so supportive."

I chucked with her as I nodded. "Sure, no problem,"

"I heard that there were copies in the local bookstore just walking distance from here," she said as she started to rummage through her long wallet and gave me money, "There'll be spare in that one, in case you want to buy some book for your own, too."

I took the money and went out of the house to get to the bookstore. It didn't take me long before reaching my destination. So I went in the bookstore and made a bee line towards the magazine section and came to be face to face with different reading aids.

Just so happens that I bumped into someone with eyeglasses and hoodie. Just the sight of his curly hair and white complexion made me realize I ran into JK. I thought he was supposed to be with Darren and have exposures?

"Just to inform you, I'm on my rest," he answers my unspoken question. He must've found out with the shock that was evident in my face. "It's my turn to get back home and have some lie low moment."

I took in the information and nodded. "Oh," was all that I said. "How was life in the city?" I asked him.

"If you'll ask me, I'd say it was fun," he says with a smile, "But also stressful," he cringed lightly, "I never experienced having a lot of girls chase after me. God, being attractive is tiring," he makes an overdramatic hair flip that made me question his masculinity.

I laughed at him. "What are you doing here? If you don't mind me asking, that is," I said.

He looked at me, "Oh you know, hunting elephants," I could practically see his eyes do a dramatic roll. "What do you think people do in bookstores? Of course they buy books!"
