When I opened my eyes, the vibrant rays of green sunlight poured into the small bedroom. Wait, green? I closed my eyes and reopened them and I finally realized that I slept in Darren's bedroom last night instead of in mines. The odd green rays were because of the green sheets of his curtain. This man and his favourite colour...

I tried to wriggle free from my position on the soft and comfortable mattress but something made me felt otherwise. I looked below my waist and saw a pair of arms under and over my body. The familiar position made me feel giddy.

It was odd that after my few and small movements, Darren wasn't still waking up. I come to know him as this man that sleeps lightly. I know that even because of a simple light, he would already open his eyes and get his consciousness back. Maybe he somehow changed, only odd because he changed his sleeping habit or whatever.

I turned over and looked at Darren. His face was so calm. I don't know if it's just my imagination but I really think that Darren looked more relaxed right now than he was when we first met in the rooftop when the band arrived. Our arrival in the country was like just two weeks ago, but it feels like it has been a decade since that day.

Like a feather, my thumb traced his full, plump pink lips. His features were so stunning, so breathtaking. No wonder why every girl in the planet seems to give him a solid hour just to stare at him. Even in sleep, Darren manages to look so... sexy, hot even. Then again, everything about this man is sexy.

Suddenly Darren starts to stir and groan, a signal that he is soon to wake up. I took away my finger from his lips and closed my eyes. When I heard Darren's yawn, I faked a stretch and rubbed my eyes, hopefully portraying a just woke up look. I opened my eyes only to see Darren's were still closed and he was probably trying to catch his consciousness. But then, he mumbles something that was too hard to understand.

I faked a yawn as well. "What was that?" I asked him.

He turns around and wraps his arms around me again. "I said don't stare at me like that again when I am sleeping." He chuckles.

My face turned red and I hid it by nuzzling to his chest. "I was not." I lied.

"Sure babe," he laughs lowly and the sound gives me goose bumps instantly. "Do you want breakfast?" he asks but before I could even answer, he says, "Shit, I don't have any groceries for now."

I laugh at him. "That's okay, we could eat at our room." I told him. "Dress up so we could go to our room and make some breakfast. I could cook now." I told him proudly, only to be rewarded by hearty laugh.

"That's so good to hear." He comments. He stands up and I follow suit and went to the door.

"I'll go wait for you in our room then, I'll start cooking." I announced and he smiled at me before approaching and giving me a kiss on the lips and a squeeze on my bottom. "If you want to stay alive, you won't squeeze my bum like that again."

"And by the way, Nic, you just really have to admit that you were staring at me when I was still asleep," he says, "You know, it's not really hard to just admit it."

I rolled my eyes again, "Okay fine," I sighed, "But how did you find out? Your eyes were clamped shut."

"I can feel you staring at me," he mumbles quietly, "Like, I don't know how to explain it. Maybe some sort of a connection?"

"Okay, you're talking cliché now," I told him with a laugh, in which he joined, "Well, whatever it is, you got me busted."

He got up from his bed, walked to where I stand before planting a kiss on my forehead.
