"Well, well," JK said with a smug smile when I went back to the backstage to collect my stuff. I followed where his eyes were looking at, and it was on my hand that was holding Darren's. "Finally grew the balls to admit everything to your best friend?"

I heard Darren laugh over what JK said. I just rolled my eyes. "This may come as a shock to you but I am not a boy and I am a girl, and girls don't grow balls." I informed him whilst Darren still laughed a little hysterical with JK's stupid joke.

"Oh," JK continued. "I thought you were lesbian and you preferred girls."

"How dare you question my femininity?" I feigned shock and offence. "If I were a lesbian, I wouldn't be with Darren right now."

"Actually, when I was confessing earlier, I thought you were going to turn me down coz I thought that you prefer girls, too." Darren joked with JK.

"You're lucky that I'm girly enough to be your girlfriend, Espanto." I said, pointing a finger to his nose. "How many times do I have to explain myself that girls like me can also be as cool as boys?"

Both of them shrugged their shoulders and I just sighed in exasperation. Why do people think that girls with the cool attitude are lesbians? That's stupid.

"Thanks for driving me home, Darren," I told him. "I appreciate it,"

He chuckled. "Of course," he said with a smile. "I'm your boyfriend now, I'm supposed to drive you to and fro somewhere." he informed me, his hand on mine.

"We're still best friends even if we're in a relationship, right?" I asked him.

"Of course," he replied. "I would still call you Nic and you will call me Ren and other stupid names that you call me."

I rolled my eyes. "I don't call you stupid names!" I protested. "I just call you Ren. You're the one that calls me stupid names!"

"I do not!" he defended himself. "Well... maybe just dwarf coz you're short?"

I rolled my eyes again, but this time, it was playfully. "See?"

"Okay, fine!" he surrendered. "At least Dwarf's my girlfriend now."

My cheeks flushed. "Whatever," I said, "Anyway, should we tell our families about what we are right now?"

"We're still humans, Nic, what's in need of telling our families?" he asked sarcastically.

"Wow. I never thought you were that corny," I commented before shifting in my seat right after I took off the seat belt. I saw Darren just shook his head while he's in the midst of laughing. "I meant, about what we are right now, Darren. I'm talking about our stage of relationship."

"Oh, that," he feigned realisation. "Well, I tell you what... they already knew about me being your boyfriend and you being my girlfriend," he said. "Before I confessed, I talked to your mom and guess what?"

"What?"

"She said she was the number one shipper of Dani!" he laughed and I soon joined him in his happy laughter. "Your mom's a little crazy when it comes to us, do you know that?"

"I must say, I second that," I laughed.

"Anyway, I think you should go in your house already," he says, "I mean, my house is just beside your house so it won't hurt, right?" he asked. "If you want to talk to me, just peek through your window and I would peek on mine, and we could talk with sketch pads and marker pens."

"Is it me or are you trying to copy the events in You Belong with Me by TaylorSwift?" I asked him and he just laughed.

"Partially," he admitted, "And partially because I just want to see you in your room with a sketch pad and a pen in hand."

"I never draw, if that's what you're implying." I told him and he just doubled in laughing again.

"You know, the longer you stay in my car, the harder it gets to set you loose," he told me and despite the heavy blush that was creeping in my cheeks, I managed to smile. "So, I would want you to get out of my car and go in your house, try to get some sleep or something."

"Wow, too much for my boyfriend," I feigned offence. "Anyhow, okay, I'll go." I told him but stayed in my seat a little longer. "Don't you get it? Can't I at least get a good bye kiss or something?" I asked him with a chuckle.

He shook his head while chuckling lightly and I smiled at the sight. I was busy admiring Darren's happy features when he suddenly linked his pink lips on mine. I smiled against his lips as I kissed him back, loving the feeling of his soft lips on my plump ones. This is the best night of my life, there was no doubt on that.

"Good night, Nic," he said after pulling away, "I love you."

"I love you too."
