POEM 16: OVER

The air was quiet, the birds softly crooned,
The world was calm, there was no fear—
Without the observation of a new witness,
No words will be dared for everyone to hear.

The field the lays Earthly grounded,
Abruptly pulsing, and then— it was gone,
For the crops could bear no more shame,
As the day went awry, and the stars looked on.

It was their loss, for not being clean—
A gentle love that vanished, nowhere near,
The garden soon came, yet no one blinked,
No paths unseen, distant like an iron gear.
