POEM #26: CLAY
It covers the mind in murky clay,
Masked in the distance, in shadows gray.
A feeling that grows, a concealed sight,
Turning the morning to endless night.
In love it dies, in hate it feeds,
A mysterious field of knotted weeds.
It intensifies a bit, a potent breath,
A yearning life, a fragmented death.
It murmurs in crimson, without a goal,
Cascading gently, stirring the troll.
No solance in sight, no blooming balm,
No tangled glare - no trace of calm.
