POEM #8: LIFE
Where mortals fear for their lives,
An immortal light will shine on you—
Yet, something speaks, in sparkless air,
A vow that will always remain true.
The hands of a clock may start to fall,
But your flesh will stick and remain.
No grave will hold your clay's aged call,
For through the years, we will sustain.
In every lonely star and lowly dusk,
Immortality eludes time's cold embrace—
Through realms of dust and new darkness,
Renew your path in a boundless space.
