POEM 17: SHAPES
The diamond: sharp, sparkling, and clean,
Cuts through patterns, no twist— no turn,
Four sides that reflect steadfast angles,
Ascending as the pillar, as you will learn.
The heart: bending the world in every form;
Holds love in the human and universal soul—
This shape shows us all the possibilities;
Be it a relentless race, or a mindless goal.
The crescent moon: it lets shadows pass;
With curves rooted in dark and dimly edges.
It dances in the sky and lights with the stars,
And keeps all the secrets; the cosmic pledges.
