POEM #18: FLEE
Some lives are permanently reframed—
While some find brighter, fiercer tales,
For their spirits still march, day by day,
Unwavered by the awaiting fevered trails.
It binds the body's soul with the living flesh,
Dwelling in unsuspecting doctors' halls—
The monsters grows, seeking a place,
Leaving a touch that could break some walls.
The quiet visitor, draped in a black veil,
Haunts its frightful hosts with blurred scars,
Filling the air with shadows & mindful stares,
A testament to the fought and lost wars.
