POEM #28: REAL
Feed on the remains, both real and faint,
Scattered on the ground, in bright red paint.
Distort each echo, each word, each line,
Traveling aboard, creeping up your spine.
There is no more red, no erupting fire,
Just cold exchanges, an unwanted desire.
It lives where grievances take their seat,
Coming for your smile, your mind and meat.
A crucified dream, a calcified bone,
A maze of puzzle pieces, fully grown.
It yells, it weeps, it nurtures within,
A clever routine, an enchanted spin.
