How I became Savannah Solo Part 1

Sunday April 19th

        Kelley and I got up at 6:30 and got dressed. Kelley put on her sweat pants, white t-shirt, and her tennis shoes. I put on my black legging, red flannel, and my white converse. Kelley and I brought our bags downstairs and set them in the kitchen. We got out bowls and the cereal when Hope came down and said to make her a bowl while she put the bags in the car. I fixed Hope her bowl and then she came back in and sat down next to me. We finished eating and then the 3 of us got in the car and headed to the airport.

Hope: Well you two have fun flying across the country without me

Me: oh don't remind me. At least Kelley doesn't have to switch flights like me.

Kelley: ha-ha yeah that sucks for you.

Hope: Okay kids be nice now

Me: oh whatever. Oh hold on I have a call from Kathrine

I took out my phone and answered

Me: Hello this is Savannah

Kathrine: Hey Savannah, I have 2 things for you. 1 is that I got your Twitter official and 2 is that ESPN just released an interview from Alex Morgan and your mentioned in it I will send you the link. Oh yeah one more thing you have just reached 1 million followers on Twitter.

Me: Okay thank you

Kathrine: No problem by Savannah.

Me: Bye

I got the link from Kathrine and read it out loud to Kelley and Hope.

ESPN: So Alex Morgan you play for the Portland Thorns and the USWNT correct?

Alex: Yes I do

ESPN: Your team just lost to Seattle Reign 3-1. Do you know their new striker Savannah Reed (who is now Savannah Solo) who scored the 3 goals?

Alex: Yes I met her when she stayed with Hope and our team after our game against New Zealand on the 4th. She is also now on the U-20 national team. She is an amazing player and I believe she is only 16 now so she still has time to get even better.

ESPN: Yes she is only 16. Have you heard the talk about the striking resemblance between you two?

Alex: (laughing) Yes I have. The only difference between us is facial features and her legs are a little skinnier and longer.

ESPN: Really that's all

Alex: Yeah we look the exact same from the back.

ESPN: So do you know the story behind the name on the back of her jersey.

Alex: Yes Baby Horse. That was Hope Solo's idea she gave it to her because of her run and age.

ESPN: Thank you Alex but that's all the time we have

Alex: You're welcome.

I finished the article and put my phone back on the console.

Hope: Well that was interesting

Me: Yeah

Kelley: So really you and Alex should never stand next to each other

Me: Awe but where's the fun in that

We finally go to the airport and we unloaded all of the bags. Kelley had 1 suitcase and her backpack. I had my 2 suitcases and then my backpack too. We walked up to the desk and turned in our suitcases. We got to the security checkpoint and Kelley and I had to say goodbye to Hope.
