How I became Savannah Solo Part 1

Monday April 27th - Tuesday May 6th

I got up and got ready for school. I texted Brad to meet me downstairs in the 5th wing after my meeting. I left my house at 7 the next morning and went to Barron's room. Barron let me in and we sat down.

Barron: So what did you want to meet about?

Me: I got my schedule for the summer and I wanted to let you know.

Barron: Okay thank you. I don't have team camp set yet so maybe we can work something in.

Me: Well I will be gone from June 15th – June 28th and then July 3rd I am invited to the National team's camp and I meet back up with my team on July 11th. I don't know when I will be back after that.

Barron: Wow that's a lot but I can make the team camp June 29th – July 1st if you promise to be there.

Me: Really! thank you I will be there. I know it's important that I be there since I won't make the 18 workouts like at all.

Barron: I know but since you will be training with other teams it won't matter as long as you are there for camp. Thank you for informing me but if you don't mind me asking what will you be doing with your team?

Me: Oh it's no problem, when I leave in June I will be doing a team camp for a week and then we travel to Germany for a U-20 tournament. I had 2 weeks off until I got invited to the national team camp. So in July I do the national team camp and then I meet back up with the U-20 team to go to Brazil. I don't know what we will be doing. I will get information when it gets closer.

Barron: Wow that's great you will get a lot of experience this summer

Me: Yes I know I am so excited

Barron: Good well thank you for telling me. Let me know if anything changes

Me: Okay I will

I got out of Barron's classroom and went downstairs to meet Brad. Brad was waiting for me by the locker rooms. I hugged him and he started kissing me until we were interrupted.

Garvin: I am guessing that is you Solo, sorry to interrupt but I need you for a minute please

Me: (laughing) yes it is and okay. (To brad) wait here I will be back.

Garvin: (after I walked in) Solo I just want to tell you cheer camp will be June 5th-8th. We will be going to Ole Miss this year. We will be leaving on a Friday and be back on a Monday.

Me: That's perfect actually it's before all my soccer stuff. I also wanted to make sure you know I won't be at any practices because I will either be in California, Germany, or Brazil.

Garvin: Wow that's a lot. I knew you wouldn't make any but I do have two more things

Me: Okay

Garvin: 1 I will FaceTime you during our meeting after practices so you know what is going on and 2 I also wanted to tell you that I am really proud of you and plus you are going to be racking up some flyer miles

Me: Okay that's fine I will always try to answer but if I can't I will call you later and Thank you and I know and plus I'm not paying for any of it

Garvin: Man I wish, that would be so nice

Me: Yeah it's going to be a great summer. Anyways I have to go

Garvin: Okay Bye Solo thank you for talking to me

Me: No problem, Bye Mrs. Garvin

I went back out and caught up with Brad and started my day. After school I went home and did homework, ate and then went to bed.

April 28th – May 6th

The next week I got into the regular schedule with school, cheer, and soccer. I had texted Kelley and Hope like every other day. Brad and I finally got time to catch and spend time with each other. I emailed coach Jill that I could make it and I also emailed Nike that I could make it and I would be bringing Kelley O'Hara. My life had actually calmed down, but it was the calm before the storm.
