How I became Savannah Solo Part 1

Sunday April 12th

     I should be used to waking up to Hope laughing and taking pictures by now. Hope was at the end of my bed taking picture of me and Kelley again. Kelley was practically on top of me but it had my arms around her. Kelley woke up first and then woke me up.

Kelley: Well Baby Horse, Hope is taking pictures again
Me: Ugh! Hope go away
Hope: I'm done always

I rolled from under Kelley and got out of bed. It was 9:30. I went to the bathroom and then went down to the kitchen to get something to eat.

Hope: Don't get anything, we are going to one of my favorite places so go get dressed and don't forget wear something comfy you'll be flying today
Me: Okay I'll be back down in 10

I went upstairs and put on my stretchy dark wash jeans, national team shirt and jacket, and then my tennis shoes. I went to the bathroom and put my hair in a bun and did my eyebrows and mascara and went back downstairs. Kelley and hope were both in the kitchen waiting.

Hope: Are we ready?
Me: I am
Kelley: Yes
Hope: I'm driving so..
Kelley and I: SHOTGUN!!
Me: Not if I get there first
Kelley: Not a chance
Hope: Do not break anything in my house!

We both took off sprinting and pushing each other. I was winning until Kelley hopped on my back and made me stumble and she ran around me. We got to the car and started pushing each other until Hope came out into the garage.

Hope: Will you two kids stop fighting and Savannah get in the back Kelley's older
Me: What come on that's not fair!

Hope turned back to me and gave me her famous bitch face glare and said
" Savannah Reed get in the back before I throw you in there my self"
Me: Fine

After a little bit of driving Hope pulled into an old looking place.

Kelley: Uh Hope?
Hope: I know just get out its worth it

We got out and walked inside. The place didn't look much better inside but there was a handful people already at tables.

Old Man: Hope! Long time since I've seen you. Who are your friends?
Hope: This one is Savannah aka Baby Horse and this one is Kelley.
Kelley: Hey
Me: Hey
Old Man: Sit where you want girls and Margret will be with you

We went to a corner booth and sat down.

Margret: Hope it's good to see you. What would you Giles like to drink?
Hope: Coffee
Me: Coffee
Kelley: Coffee
Margaret: I'll just bring out a pot then, here's the menus

We looked at the menus and Hope already knew what she wanted. Kelley and I decided on getting the same thing.

Margret: Here is your coffee and fixings. Do you know what you want to order?
Hope: Yes we do, I want the egg white omelette with ham and cheese and bacon on the side.
Kelley: I'm going to have the two pancakes with toast and bacon on the side
Me: I'm going to have the same thing as her
Margret: I'll get those right in

We poured our coffee and talked about our flight later that day. Our food came shortly after and we started eating. We finished and said our goodbyes to the old couple and then headed home. We got home at 11 and loaded our bags up and went to the airport. We checked our bags in and then walked to the security checkpoint.

Hope: Well this is where I stop so goodbye Baby Horse and Squirrel.

We hugged her goodbye and she took our picture like always. We then went through security. Kelley and I got to our gate and sat down to wait for the boarding call. I got us Starbucks and went back to Kelley who was on her phone. I handed her her drink and sat down. I pulled out my phone and saw my Twitter notification from Hope and Kelley.

Hope: From cuddlers in bed to travel buddies. Have fun Baby Horse and Squirrel! @kohara19 @savannahR18 *pic attached
Kelley: Awe thanks Hope! We'll miss you!
Me: Of course you would post that but thanks Hopey!

The boarding call came and Kelley and I got up and found our seats in the plane. When the plane took off and leveled I pulled out my math homework. I did the first page fast but on the second page I had to ask Kelley to teach me some of the problems. I finished the page and then put it back in backpack with my other work. The plane landed and we got our backpacks and got off. We got our suitcases from baggage claim and headed over to the car rental place. We got a white Jeep Wrangler and went to our hotel. We were staying at the Ritz Los Angeles curtesy of Nike. We checked in and went to dinner. After dinner we went back to the room and went to bed since I had to be up the next morning at 7. Kelley made plans with some of her friends for the next day before falling asleep next to me.
