I Left Her

    Seth don’t Sam warned, shaking with anger. My legs buckling down under his alpha tone but I ignored the feeling.
    Sam you know this is wrong, we fought side by side with them, we cant hurt the Cullen’s
I heard a chorus of voices:
    They broke the treaty!
    Come on!
    They’re the wrong ones Seth!
Fighting the voices in my head, I ran the opposite way towards Jake.
    Seth, please, I heard Leah plead. I looked back at her with guilt. I was ditching my sister with the one person she hates most: Sam.
    Leah, I have to. These are my friends
    Yeah pick blood suckers over your brothers. . . Your family! Sam roared, voice thundering in my head.
    You’re the one making the mistake Sam
And with that I ran into the trees in which Jake ran through moments before.


    Hey Jake, I said enthusiastically.
    Seth? What are you doing here? Go home! Jake thought. I finally caught up with Jake, despite the shortness of my legs.
    No, I’m not going to back. I’m not going to be one of Sam’s slaves and do what ever he wants.
    Oh yes you are, run off back to Sam and do whatever he says
    Are you ordering me or just simply putting that our there? Jake stopped dead in his tracks and turned his big furry head on me.
    I’m not ordering anyone of anything I’m just-
    Well I think its pretty quiet, ya know? I asked him, taking him off guard again, not wanting him to make me go back to Sam. When Jake didn’t think anything I went on;
    I think when I made the switcheroo, it went into two packs. I guess there wouldn’t be a purpose for mind read with two packs, huh?
    Just stop Seth, there is the Pack and then there’s me and only me. So run off now.
    I’m not going anywhere, and there’s no point now. We should probably get goin before Sam. . . .
    Right, but how do you think we should do this? Jake asked, as we made our way onto the Cullen’s lawn.
    Should I just talk or something?
    Yeah shoot, I said supportively trying to be the best pack member I could to Jake after everything that happened.
Jake cleared his throat and spoke in his head.
    Edward. . . Edward if your there then come out, we gotta tell ya something
We waited and waited until Edward finally came out.
    “Jacob? Seth? What’s wrong?”
We let our minds run free, letting Edward see everything that happened.
    “They’re planning to kill Bella” Edward said flatly.
    “Not when we get a hold of them they wont” Emmett muttered walking out of the house with Jasper coming toured us menacingly. Me and Jake exchanged looks.
    “No not them, the pack.” Edward whispered still in a gaze. We laid there quiet as the Cullen’s stood there gathering it all in. I felt the need to do something to help in someway, so I offered to take a look.
    “You wont be in danger will you Seth?” Edward asked.
    Probably not, they wouldn’t want to challenge me. I meet ya back here in a few, I added to Jake and took off. I chose to watch the western perimeter considering that’s where the pack would most likely be.
     I ran for what seemed like forever until I was close to La Push again. I kept my distance until I heard the pack again, only in human form.
    “Sam, what about Seth?” I heard Embry ask. I hid under a bush big enough to cover me.
    “What about him?” Sam said throwing his hands in the hair pacing back and forth. The pack were all talking in the field we were all in before the split.
    “Well ya know. . . Emily. What’s Emily gonna do without him?” That stopped Sam in his tracks. And that stopped my breath.
    Emily. My imprint. My soul mate.
    I forgot all about her.
    I left her behind with the pack. Who knows how long it’ll be before I see her again. My heart throbbed just thinking about. A whine escaped my dog mouth and Paul heard it. I looked over at Paul and he held a grin on his face.
    “I cant wait to play some tricks on Emily now that you wont be there to stand up for her” Paul muttered low enough just for me to hear. I growled at him and made my way back to the Cullen’s before anyone else of the pack could acknowledge my presence. If Paul hurt Emily in anyway like he did at the beach, I don’t even want to think about what I’d do to him.
    Walking back to the Cullen’s seemed even longer than running the perimeter. I now had to worry about Paul hurting Emily in anyway, and how Emily is going to be when she sees I wont come home to her like I do. I wont hold her like I always did. I wont kiss her lips anymore. I began shaking, furious with myself.
I made my way back to the Cullen’s, tail between my legs and regretting everything I did. 
    Hey Seth, look, Jake called to me across the lawn. I looked over to see who he meant.
    Leah.
    Of course she wouldn’t let her little brother, Sethy, go out all alone.
    Yeah, she showed up-, Jake stopped mid sentence seeing as I fell over with my ears back and tail between my legs.
    Seth what happened? Jake ask in my head.
    I knew something like this would happen Leah said, rolling her eyes.
    Shut up Leah; Seth what? Jake asked converting his attention back to me.
    I left Emily” I started to shake again “I left her Jake.
