Naked and covered in blood I walked through the back door and took the private steps that led to my sanctum.

Water sprayed from almost every wall, as I stood in the middle feeling powerful and sated. I heard her coming before she entered my room and groaned internally. What now?

Trying to ignore her presence was useless as she slipped into the shower, naked, with me.

     “Stella,” I began.

“Don’t say anything, Rogue. Love me anyway you want, except as your sister.”

     “I cannot…”

“Please…” She begged with raw need in her voice.

Her hands started at my waist and slid slowly up towards my chest to entwine around my neck. She pressed her naked body to mine; similar to what Angie did mere hours ago, yet the two could not compare.

Stella kissed the side of my jaw and mouth while one hand slid back down my body to grasp me. I caught her hand before she could complicate things further.

She pulled her hand free. “Kiss me and tell me you don’t want me more than the human, if not the same. Just one kiss Rogue.”

I felt conflicted. I have known Stella nighty-eight of her one hundred and sixteen years. Maybe I owe it to her to see if we are compatible.

I leaned down and kissed her with everything I had left. She was an expert at kissing and other things, from what I have heard. All I felt was lust, an easily controlled emotion. I pulled away roughly ending the kiss.

     “That wasn’t long enough…”

“It was for me.” I stated.

“Rogue,” She began sliding her hand down there again.

“OUT!” I shouted. I had enough of her ways. Stella only wants what she cannot have.

She jumped and stepped away from me with a mixture of shock and fear marring her pretty face. I have never spoken to her in this way before. My family rarely, if ever, has seen me angry. Seconds later, she fled out the shower and my room crying.

Finally, some peace and quiet, I thought as I lay in bed. I needed to shut down for a moment; except, someone was approaching my room again. I flung the door open catching Daxton off guard.

“Is everything okay?” He asked carefully.

     “Yes”

“Why is Stella crying? I asked her what’s wrong and she said, your name. That’s all she’ll tell me.”

“Stella came onto me, I rebuked her.”

My brother did not seem surprised.

“Dax, I need a few hours alone.”

“Don’t worry; I’ll make sure no one disturbs you.”

For the remainder of the day and night I was not disturbed. Feeling fully recharged I dressed and left the house around mid morning the next day. A trip to Lextors office, where we can speak in private was necessary.

On the drive there, I caught sight of Angie’s Aunt Emma sitting at a side café with another woman. Her face reminded me of Lucas. Emma’s brunette hair was in low neat tail. Her frame is that of a tall voluptuous woman. Angie said she is a Psychologist. How is it that she did not see the signs? Lucas’s death still saddened me.
