The warm summer wind blew softly over Clock Town giving just a little cold air on the hot summer day. People walked around with smiles as they went on with their day except the only difference was that this day was very special. Today the princess of Hyrule would be visiting her her aunt and uncle, rulers of Termina.
The females eyes glittered with excitement as she dragged her best friend (and hero of time) Link behind her. She wasn't just excited to see her Aunt and Uncle, but her beloved cousin as well. It had been years since the two had last seen each other so this makes the day extra special for her.
"Come on Link, hurry. I want to get to the castle as soon as possible," Zelda cried as the two made their way though the busy streets full of cheerful people.
"Okay, okay, I'm going as fast as I can, calm down Zelda," Link rolled his eyes as his friend dragged him to the main street leading to the Castle. Zelda's eyes glittered as she walked down the road, taking in the beautiful castle in front of them with its cream colored walls and shining blueish clear windows. It was truly amazing.
"It's just the same as when I was young," she smiled walking up to the two guards guarding the entrance to the huge place.
"Who goes there!" one shouted looking Zelda in the eyes with a dangerous glare.
"Hello, I'm the princess of Hyrule, Zelda, and this is the hero of time, Link. We are here to visit my family, the rulers of Termina," she replied calmly looking at both guards with a friendly smile in which they didn't return.
"Sorry but we've heard that one, you should just go home kid," the other spoke as if he was talking to a five year old.
Zelda put her hands on her hips with a huff," I am Princess Zelda!"
The guards shook their heads, not believing a word she said. Link then stepped forward," if we can maybe talk to the King and Queen, they'll know who we are and clear things up."
"We can't let you guys through, its the rules," the guards spoke at the same time, not showing any sign that they plan to move.
"Let them in, they are always welcome here."
The guards then turned as a beautiful young girl made her way up to the group, a kind smile printed across her lips. Both guards stepped out of the way a bowing as she passed," Princess..."
Zelda's eyes light up at the sight of the girl, running up to her and jumping into her arms, hugging her rather tightly," (Y/n)~! Its been far to long!"
"Much too long. I am sorry about the guards, they are new recruits and didn't know you'd be joining us today," you smiled, looking at the two guards who looked down ashamed of themselves for not knowing. (Y/n) then turn her attention to Link with a smile," this must be the hero of time, Link."
"How do you-" Link looked at her stunned that she knew him. He knew that people in Hyrule knew of him but in Termina, he didn't think a single person would know.
"Know who you are? Zelda talked about you before in her letters and since you're the only boy wearing a green tunic around here, I guessing that you are the hero in whom she's spoken of," she smiled dipping her head," it is a honer to be in the presents of such a brave soul who saved so many lives."
"T-Thank you...I'm guessing you're Princess (Y/n), right?" he asked, still not fully use to the whole 'hero' thing even if he has been the hero of time for a while now.
"Yes, I am but you may call me (Y/n). We should get inside the castle, the Queen and King have awaited you're arrival ever since you said you'd come," she turned and began to walk back to the castle with Link and Zelda both at her sides.
