|| Chapter 15 || Links...Dead?

Everyone talked quite a lot at dinner expect the two the usually talked the most, Zelda and Misty. They both stayed quiet, poking at their food as they were too worried to eat.

Ever since Link ran off, no one had seen him and this worried them both. It wasn't like him not to show up after so long. Not only was Link gone, but Aryan too. He went missing shortly after Link did.

Looking up, Zelda looked over the table at Alex who was looking rather unconformable as (Y/n) hugged his arm tightly. Anyone could tell he was trying to eat while ignore it but the look in his eyes showed how he wished to sit multiple seats away from her.

"Alex," at the sound of his name, he looked up, meeting Zelda's eyes," have you seen your brother or Link at all?"

"No, Princess, I haven't. I know Aryan left a while ago but I thought Link came back," he whispered, looking at his food as she shook her head.

"Are you sure they aren't in their rooms?" The Queen asked, hearing their conversation and looking up for only a second before going back to take a drink of her tea.

"Yes, at least, Link isn't. Link ran off this morning and all," Misty cried as the Queen and King only hummed, not seeming to take much interest in the heroes disappearance.

"Now why would he run off? Not a very hero like thing to do," the King spoke as the Queen nodded.

"He was upset," Zelda pointed out as they both looked to her.

"How come? Was he not happy about the wedding being tomorrow?"

"I don't think he was, he does love (Y/n) and-" Misty began before Zelda covered her mouth with her hand, quieting the maid quickly.

"Loves (Y/n)?" the Queen narrowed her eyes as they both nodded slowly, not being able to deny it now," well I hope the boy knows she is to be married. Its his own fault for falling for a engaged young lady."

"Now you listen here-" Zelda began angrily before Misty covered her mouth before she said something she'd regret.

The Queen looked back to her dinner as the room went quiet, no one saying much anymore. Zelda sat back in her seat, glaring at her food as if it had done something wrong.

'How dare the Queen speak that way about Link? He didn't do anything wrong for loving (y/n)...but then again...I acted the same way as the Queen did with him. But that was different! I didn't want him to be sad when (Y/n) would be married off!' she shook her head sadly, arguing with herself in her mind.

Slam

Everyone turned, facing the doors that were now wide open as they couldn't be ignored now. There stood a soaking wet Aryan who held the side of his arm, taking deep breaths of air as he looked hurt.

"Prince Aryan? What happened to you?" The Queen stood as did the King, everyone turning to look at them then the Prince who took a few steps into the room before falling onto his knees within a few steps.

"L-Link...he..." the Prince put a hand on his head as he shivered," h-he attack me in the forest!"

"WHAT?!" Everyone gasped, looking to each other, some shocked as other angry.

"The hero attack you? Why would he do that? Where is he?" The King demanded as butlers and maids rushed to help the poor Prince who shivered he was so cold.

"I-I don't know. I saw he ran off a-and so I went to see if he was o-okay and he a-attacked me!" he explained, standing up with the butlers help.

They walked him over to a empty seat, sitting him down as he went on," h-he was angry with me f-for some reason and I-I tried to defended myself. H-He ended up g-g-getting too close to an edge and f-fell. I-I wanted to help b-b-but I couldn't in time," Aryan covered his eyes, crying," h-he died."

"Link...d-died..." Zelda repeated, her eyes wide as she couldn't say anything else.

"Take Aryan to his room, dry him off," the Queen ordered as the butlers nodded, helping him stand again.

"What about Link?" Misty cried, tears running down her eyes at the thought of the hero dead.

"Nothing can be done for him anyways, even if he would have lived we would have thrown him in the dungeon for attacking our guest, Prince Aryan!" The King roared as Zelda stood, shaking her head.

"Link would never attack Aryan!"

"Of course you'd deafened him for he is your friend! I don't know what kind of heroes you have in Hyrule but a kind that attacks an innocent Prince isn't one for Termina. He could have attacked any one of us so I'm glad he is gone!" The Queen declared as Misty stood this time, glaring at her as she pointed a figure.

"You speak of him like a wild, mindless, animal yet you don't even know him!" she yelled as her mother rushed to her side, lowing her finger with a shake of her head.

"Misty, don't speak that way to the Queen...please..." she whispered, trying to calm her down.

"(Y/n), you must know Link would never do something like attack the Prince!" Zelda looked to her cousin who glared at them surprisingly, hugging onto Alex's arm.

"I can't believe he would do something so heartless as to try and kill Alex's only brother! Its so cruel, I'm glad he got what he deserved!" she cried, hiding her face in Alex's chest as he just stared into space, seeming to be broken as his lips moved but no words came out.

"Lets be going, this dinner has been ruined!" the Queen and King marched off as (Y/n) stood, taking Alex with her as she followed her parents while whispered something like 'we don't need this stress before our wedding' to Alex as he just let her pull him away, still looking broken...

Zelda and Misty stood there, tears running down their eyes and they watched them all leave along with all the servants and Misty's mother.

"YOU SAID YOU LOVED LINK! HOW COULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT YOU LIAR!!!" Misty yelled at the Princess even though she was gone already.

"Misty..." the maid looked to Zelda confused as she stood there shocked," something's wrong here...Link didn't like Aryan but he wouldn't kill him and (Y/n) wouldn't not care if he died. Someone's not telling the truth here..."
