Princess of Termina (Link x Princess-reader)

|| Chapter 24 || Termina Castle

After staying the night at the Castle of Rena, the group headed back to Termina wasting no time at all. It was a long journey with few stops but finally they had made it back to their destination. No longer did the Kingdom have a happy feel to it as everything was dull of light and color. It looked like a creation of Ganondorf's, that's for sure.

"So he must still be in the castle somewhere, right?" Anti asked, crossing her arms and looking at the castle a ways in front of them all. 

"I'm sure he is. So how are we going to go about all this? We simply can't just run in there without a steady plan," (Y/n) looked to her old home then Ashley who stood next to her, shaking her head.

"Well we should save your friends and family before we do anything to rash. We need to get them all out of harms way but we also must look out for Aryan and Ganondorf. They must have some plan for when we come, they'll be waiting for us all."

"I can go find Ganondorf, the rest of you can get everyone else," Link narrowed his eyes, trying to think where Ganondorf would be or what he'd have planned for them. It won't be the first time he'd have to fight Ganondorf so he was prepared to fight him again if he had to.

"If you go fight him on your own, you must be careful and aware," Ashley advised as Link nodded.

"I know."

"Please be careful, I have already lost my father and I do not want to losing anyone else important to me," (Y/n) looked to the hero, her voice stern yet there was a hint of worry behind it.

"Don't worry, I'll be careful," Link smiled an assuring smile to the Princess who nodded but still seemed unsure.

"Alright then! Lets go save Termina and defeat that evil lord that has taken it over~!" Prince Cody cheered, smiling brightly as everyone laughed and Anti rolled her eyes.

"We'll meet up in the throne room when everything is over," Anti looked around to everyone as they all nodded in agreement. 

"We'll meet up then."

~~~Time skip/ (Y/n)'s P.O.V~~~

I peeked around the corner of the hallway, making sure no one was there as Ashley, Anti and Cody followed behind me. I signaled them to follow as we hurried to the last door at the very end of the long dark hallway. 

I stopped in front of the door, frowning at the sight of it. It was made of a dark wood and had a long plank to hold it shut. It didn't look different at all but it was the only thing that didn't within this whole castle.

"So have you ever been down in the dungeon before?" Cody asked, looking at the door to me as I nodded slowly.

"When I was young my father and I were playing hide-and-seek. One of the new guards forgot to lock the door so, as a young child, I fought it would be the perfect place to hide," I laughed a bit at the memory," I got to the bottom of the stairs but that was all. The second I looked into the place I got scared and ran. I ran all the way to my mother as she comforted me, even singing a sound that has been in my family for awhile now. It always made me feel better..."

"I'm guessing its been awhile since you've had that family time," Anti quietly pointed out as I looked down, sighing.

"It...has. My parents have always been to busy to play with me and even if they do have time they tell me its not 'Princess-like' to play childish games..." I pushed the plank of wood off the door with Cody's help before opening it and looking inside the dark place. Stairs lead down in a spiral, soon disappearing in the darkness.

"I understand how that feels," Anti whispered as I smiled sadly at her, remembering back to when we read about her past.

"Yeah...We should get going. Please watch your step," I walked down the stairs, everyone following right after me carefully. Some of the steps were slippery as others were broken. It would be easy to fall and hurt yourself if not careful like we were now.
