First Person Pov. Alexis

As Coulson, Simon and I walked into the Avenger's facility I was amazed. The building was huge and the lobby was crowded with people! "Welcome to the Avenger's Alexis!" Coulson beamed as he lead us through the crowded lobby.

So much was going on I couldn't handle it all.

"Captain!!!" Coulson yelled as we passed the one and only Captain Marvel, "I'd like you to meet your trainee, Alexis Columbo," Coulson introduced me.

"Um Hi," I stuttered sticking my hand out, "I'm looking forward to learn from you."

She nodded before taking my hand then said, "I have to go," and left.

"Her ex-boyfriend also possessed the power of cosmic like you... and so did she for a little while. She knows the most of anyone about your powers," Coulson explained as we continued on through the building. Coulson pointed out every room explaining what it was until we reached a vibranium door labeled NA in large bold letters. Simon had to leave half way through to do a quick mission briefing.

Coulson slid his SHIELD card before the door slid open to reveal what looked like a normal living room, 3 teens sitting on the couch watching Jane the Virgin, one of them had a book in their lap.

"I'll leave you to meet your new teammates!" Coulson stated before leaving and locking the door behind him.

The slamming of the door caused everyone's head to turn and face me. The 3 teens stood up and walked over. Well one of them jumped over the back of the couch while the other two walked around the couch.

The one who jumped the couch turned out to be a girl with blonde hair who was about 5"7' and wore a blue ski hat with blue wool string coming down by her ears which she had braided into her hair. She wore blue jeans and a black and white Canadian sweater.

"Hi!" she beamed, "I'm Chey!"

"Nice to meet you... I'm Alexis, but you can call me Alex or Lex," I responded trying not to get freaked out.

"Chey, you're scaring her!" one of the other teens said. This one had dark African skin and brown eyes and stood at about 5"5' towering an inch taller than me. All of her black frizzy hair was done into mini braids, only letting her hair reach a little below her shoulders.

Next to her stood a teenage boy with brown hair that was in somewhat of a bowl cut and he had green eyes.

"I'm not Liz!" Chey responded towards the dark skinned girl.

Liz shook her head letting the boy talk.

"I'm Sam, and this is Elizabeth," he introduced himself and the other girl. Elizabeth smiled at me sweetly.

I was going to like it here.

Third Person's Pov.

As soon as Coulson left Alexis with the other NAs he bolted towards the Avenger's housing section of the building. He trekked through the lobby in a mad dash to find Captain Marvel. He knew something was wrong. Before when she had learned she was going to be a mentor she couldn't wait, she had even wanted to come and recruit Alexis with him but Fury wouldn't let her.

So as soon as Coulson made it to the Avenger's housing he flung the door open and walked right in.

"Hey Uncle Phil!" a voice greeted him.

Coulson turned his head to see 28-year-old Sydney Barton sitting on a bar stool, a glass of Banana Smoothie next to her.

"Hey Syd. Do you know where your Aunt Carol went?" Coulson asked.

"Ya she just came through here like 5 minutes ago. Why?" Syd replied.

"It's nothing... I just needed to talk to her," Phil responded before heading down the hallways towards Carol Danver's room.

Syd just shrugged her shoulders and went back to what she was doing.

Coulson meanwhile had made his way to the Avenger's room. He knocked on the door.

"Captain!? May I come in!?" he asked before getting the reply, "One Second!"

Within 5 seconds the door to the room was flung open by the one and only Captain Marvel. Her eyes were puffy and red, confirming that the hero had been crying.

"Carol, what is it?" Coulson questioned as he walked into the room and closed the door behind him.

Carol sighed heavily taking in a breath before asking, "Do you have kids Coulson?"

"Not that I know of Captain..." he replied.

She nodded in understanding before responding with, "I do..."

"What?"

"I was pregnant when Mar'vel died... I knew that I couldn't raise her alone so I gave her up."

"What does this have to do with anything?" Coulson asked.

"I named her Alexis..."

Coulson's eyes widened in shock as it all set into place. "That's where her powers come from? Mar'vel?"

Carol nodded not daring to look the agent in the eye.

"Why? Why give her up?"

"I was afraid... I couldn't handle or protect her..." Carol responded, "Mar'vel had just been diagnosed, and well... In the state I was in, I couldn't handle or protect her. Plus she wouldn't have had a childhood as the daughter of a single avenger."

Coulson nodded in understanding once more before replying, "Hydra's after her."

Carol's head snapped up at the mention of those bastards.

"What?" she hissed.

"Hydra knows about her powers... they've been after her for years... since she was 7 I believe. You know Carter JR? Well, she's been infiltrating Kingpin's gang and Hydra's hired the bastard to hunt her down," the agent explained.

Carol's eyes started to fill with hate and rage at the thought of her daughter having to deal with those bastards.

"I'm going to kill them," she sneered as she clenched her fists and let them light up with her powers.

She had given her daughter up to let her have a better life and these... snakes had stolen that from her daughter. They were going to pay.
