Matt grabs the bag and rushes to the car while walking behind me with one hand on my back. He jumps in the car and throws the bag into the back seat. He places one hand on my
stomach and the other on the wheel and quickly backs out of the driveway. He drives at a pace that seems unreasonable as I sit in the passenger seat fading in and out. All I can think about is my life, what it should be. What it could have been if Matt hadn't came back. I would be dead. I wouldn't have this precious life inside me.I am suddenly snapped out of it when I feel a kick against my lower abdomen. I let out a soft groan and Matt looks over to me like I'm screaming bloody murder. He drives me all the way to the hospital and takes me in by carrying me bridal style. I kiss him softly as they lay me on a bed and he holds my hand along with stroking my hair. The doctor comes in and within what seems like minutes, the love of my life and I are welcoming our first little one.

I was proud of Matt, he didn't complain at all within the two hours of labor. He didn't even look away or pass out. He stayed strong for me and our baby, and I'm more than proud to say that this is who I am starting my one and only family with.
