Matt soon decides to go for a walk. As we are walking around the pond, he stops me and looks me in the eye.
"See this spot Jess. Nothing special. But, this spot to the point is where I knew I was in love with my best friend. I'm not sure if it was because of the way the sun lit up your face, or just the breeze blowing through your hair. But I fell in love with you, completely in love right here. "
At that moment, I lean in and brush his lips with mine. I lean away and look up at him and say, "I remember."
"You what?"
"Matt, I remember. I remember you and us. And that's what I want, I want you. i can see how much you care and I can't wait to spend my life with you. Matt! I remember!" I jump with excitement.
Matt crashes his lips with mine and lifts me up while I wrap my legs around his torso, running to the car.
"I love you so freaking much Jess, you're the only one I could ever want."

For the rest of the day, we lay on my bed and watch Netflix. I remembered the love of my life, but I can't remember my family. Matt says its for the best and I don't know if I want to remember at this point. As I nestle my head into Matt's chest, I hear his heart beating at the beat of my breath.
