Matt and I get released and we get into Abraham's car.

"My names Abraham, but you can call me Abe. You guys are welcome to stay at my place, well hotel, until you feel like you can take care of eachother again by yourselves."

"Uh. Thanks," Matt says as if he didn't know how to take it.

Abe stares out the front window and drives silently as he hums along to the radio. Matt is silent and stares out the window. He looks at me quickly and grabs my hand from off my lap. Then he leans towards me and places his other hand on my stomach.

"We're going to be okay, princess. Everything is going to work out. We're going to have our family," he whispers.

He lowers his face closer to my stomach and whispers, "Hi there little guy! Or girl. Daddy loves you a lot, and so does mommy. We're going to be the best we can be for you and I promise I won't ever give up on you."

I smile and stare out the window.

*6 months later*

I stand in the doorway of the nursery. Suddenly I feel arms wrap around my waist and a had lay on my shoulder.

"Hi princess," Matt whispers, "I love you. And, I love this baby. I love our family."

I smile and lay my head back onto his and begin to rock back and fourth. I pull away and walk to the rocking chair in the corner of the nursery. I sit down and playfully make a come here motion with my finger to Matt. He walks over to me and leans down so I can whisper into his ear.

"Get to work young man. You've got a new son or daughter that will be needing a bed in a month," I say as I wink and point to the box with the crib in it.

I sit in the chair and slowly rock myself back and fourth with my arms cradling my stomach. I watch the man I'm in love with build a crib for a new addition to our little family. My life couldn't be anymore perfect. I'm so thankful for what I do have, despite the fact that my parents are dead. I have Matt, who will always love and protect me and this baby.

------

I look around the almost finished nursery and find myself smiling. In the corner near the door a sign reads 'Welcome Home'. In another corner, a mahogany wood colored crib sits with a grey and coral comforter set with little giraffes and elephants on it. In another corner, a giant stuffed giraffe sits with a changing table to its right. Along the biggest wall we put wooden letters that spell out Lee Espinosa leaving a blank space at the top for the first name. We decided not to be told the sex of the baby because either way we would love them the same and why not be surprised? I stand up out of the rocking chair and feel a little dizzy. I walk to the bathroom and soon Matt comes in and immediately turns the bath on.

"I can tell you're not feeling well. I can see it in your face. Babe, come here. Let me take care of you," Matt says as he gestures for me to get in the bath.
