Next thing I know , lights are shining into my eyes with pumps all around me . I hear beeps and voices . Although , none too familiar . I can't seem to open my eyes. I just want to be dead . I thought I was .

"Jess- Je- JESSIE ," I hear .

My eyes are still glued shut even though the curiosity is swarming and filling me on the inside .

I hear muffled cries and feel a small dent in the place I am laying .

"Sweetie, honey, are you awake? Please say you are awake."

"Mom?" I manage to make out, "Is that you?"

"Oh baby you're awake!"

"I can't open my eyes, mom. Please help me." My panic attack erupts like an active volcano when I am suddenly remembered last night .

"Baby please, you're okay, I'll go get the doctor."

As I start to calm down I realize that I'm in the hospital. I haven't seen my mom in 7 years.

"Here is Dr. Lancaster sweetie."

"Mom, if you don't recall, I can't see anything."

"Nice to formally meet you Jessica! Like your mother said, I am Dr. Lancaster. You can't open your eyes because of your allergic reaction to the medicine we gave you . From our understanding, no one knew that you were allergic to this antibiotic so we are very sorry to alarm you. "

"Thanks, I guess, when will I be able to open them?"

"In about 10 mi-" his voice is cut off by someone else's.

"JESSIE!"

I suddenly open my eyes, to reveal the ever so missed, best friend since two, Mathew Espinosa.
