Let the War Begin

They waited anxiously at the top of the hill for Frank to come back. Percy wasn't sure what was taking him so long.

He looked at Nico, who was sitting down staring at nothing in particular. Percy's heart ached as he remembered what Nico had said about not saying bye to Will. About how he could feel death. But Nico had to survive. He had too. His sister had died in front of Percy, he couldn't let that happen to Nico.

He looked away from Nico and looked at Annabeth. Her hand was still on her dagger. She looked ready to destroy anything that got in her way. Percy knew she probably would. She was capable of doing anything.

Frank appeared minutes later, looking exhausted.

"There's no sign of the baby, but I heard Kelly telling Lamia that the package would arrive any minute. We have to watch for Tammi." Percy clenched his teeth.

"There." Leo whispered pointing to the building as they all saw Tammi land at the front door with a bundle in her arms.

"The baby.." Annabeth spoke, looking like if she was going to run down there and start war. Percy grabbed her arm to keep her from doing so.

"Stick to the plan Annabeth." He told her in a sad tone. He would more than anything like to do the same, but he knew that by following the plan it would be more successful.

Annabeth stares at him, her eyes wide with terror,"We have to hurry."

He nodded. Nico stood up and using his sword, struck the ground. The ground cracked and about twenty armed skeletons crawled out.

"I am the Ghost King, and you will do as I say." Nico yelled at them. Calypso looked wide eyed at him.

Nico instructed the army of dead skeletons on what they had to do, and in a matter of minutes they were making their way to Lamia. He had told them to not do anything to the baby which Percy hoped they would listen to.

Leo pulled out a sword from his tool belt. He held it up to Percy, "Hephaestus gave it to me back in Italy." With that, he charged towards the building.

Percy let go of Annabeth who ran after Leo. He could see that the army of skeletons had reached the building and were now breaking windows to get in. He charged into battle. He heard the scream of Lamia.

Once he got there, he saw Nico and Leo battling Kelly. Frank, who had turned into a lion, was fighting against Lamia as so was Annabeth. The skeletons were also battling. They seemed to be doing good.

Just in time Percy saw Tammi with the baby in her arms. She was getting ready to flee. "Not today you wont." Percy angrily said, running towards her. She turned just as Percy was going to struck her behind the back with Riptide.

"Ah, we meet again." She snarled.

"Give me the baby." Percy said between clenched teeth. He knew it wouldn't be that simple to get hold of the baby.

Tammi looked at him innocently,"I don't know who you're talking about."

Percy's anger raised,"The baby that you stole from us."

Tammi laughed. "I didn't take anything from you. Thanks to you I spent three horrible years in Tartarus. It was about time you paid."

Percy charged towards her. Tammi set the baby down as she charged towards Percy as well.

Her claws scratched him but no real damage was done. He tried to stab her in her chest but Tammi just smirked as he failed every time.

"What's the matter little demi-god? Weren't you the 'Oh so wonderful Son of Poseidon '? I guess not." Tammi snarled, as she lunged for him but as soon as she reached him he dodged away. He fell in the process.

Tammi lunged for him again and he had just enough time to roll away and stand up. Tammi had various cuts on her that Riptide had caused. She didn't seem too happy about it.

"Everyday that I spent in Tartarus, I hated you more. I decided that the best way to get back at you was to steal the baby, and it worked." Tammi told him. His blood boiled.

She started towards him with her claws sharper than ever. Percy looked at the others, and saw Calypso running towards Festus with something in her arms. The baby. He knocked Tammi out of the way with his sword. With a loud thud, she hit the wall and fell to the ground. He didn't know if she was dead or not.

He raised his sword and was going to bring it down on Tammi when she suddenly opened her eyes and stood up quickly.

She looked at the spot where the baby had been and her face fell, "The baby? Where is the baby?!" She shrieked.

"Well you see Tammi, we had our plan worked out and it looks like its working."

Tammi's face turned red with anger. She looked ready to shred Percy to pieces and Percy knew she would if he gave her the opportunity. Which he didn't plan on doing.

He could see that Leo and Nico had killed Kelly and were now helping with Lamia who seemed to be resisting. Time seemed to slow down around him as Tammi yelled in rage and was just about to stick her claws in his chest before Percy saw the perfect chance and he stabbed her in her filthy heart.

Tammi couldn't seem to believe what had happened as she went down.
"Stupid demigo-" she didnt finish her sentence before Percy stabbed her again.

"Have fun in Tartarus." He told her as she turned to dust. He looked down at his chest and saw that she had gotten him right above the chest. Her claws were marked on his skin.

He could live with the pain, he decided. A scream filled the air. Nico's.

Percy saw him in the corner holding his hand to his stomach. He saw as Frank struck his claws into Lamia and she went down with a look full of hatred. She dissolved, leaving nothing but dust behind. The army of skeletons ran back to the crack in the ground and disappeared.

Percy turned and looked at all the damage that had been caused.

Wow it took me like three hours to write this. Anyways, thank you all for reading! Ily guys❣ You guys are the best. So the book isn't over yet, maybe like five more chapters left to write. Many chapters haven't been edited yet. Sorry. Dont forget to vote please! :)
