The Plan

Hazel's POV

"Hazel! Hey Hazel!" Hazel looked around confused. Everything looked the same as it always did in Camp Jupiter.

"I'm going crazy." She muttered to herself and kept walking to Pluto's shrine.

"Hazel!" The voice said again. Hazel was sure it sounded like Annabeth. She looked to the side and there was Annabeth. With a sigh she realized it was an Iris message.

"Hey." She said sounding exhausted.

"Hazel, where's Frank?" Annabeth said sounding urgent.

"With Reyna. They're having some kind of meeting."

Hazel looked at Annabeth's background.

"Aye good one Percy!" Nico and some other boy shouted. Hazel couldn't see who it was.

She knew Percy, Annabeth, and Nico were on a quest but she didn't know someone else had gone with them.

"Who's with you guys?" She asked curiously.

Annabeth shouted something but Hazel couldn't hear it over the roar of laughter. She cringed.

"You'll find out later, we need you to tell Frank we need him! As soon as possible! Go tell him to come here!" Annabeth said sounding frustrated. She then told Hazel the exact location.

Someone else came into view. Leo.

Hazel felt her jaw drop at the sight of him.

"Hey! Look it's me! Leo Valdez sending his blessings to you!" He said smiling.

"Oh my gosh." Hazel whispered before the image of them started to fade but not without Annabeth shouting,"Go get Frank!"

Hazel stood in shook, looking at nothing in particular before the reality hit her.

Annabeth needed her to get Frank.

Leo Valdez was back.

She took off faster than ever to the Senate House. Julia was at the entrance and she wouldn't let Hazel pass through the doors before giving up her weapons.

She burst through the doors and ran inside.

"No we will not take the whole camp to Disneyland-" she heard Frank protest.

"Frank! Frank!" Hazel called running up to him. Frank looked up from the Senate confused. Reyna sat next to him looking like a leader would.

"Hazel? What's wrong." He asked. She took his hand and started pushing him towards the door.

She tried to steady her breath," Annabeth-she needs your help an-and Leo's alive!" The Senate gasped at his name.

"How dare speak of that traitor?" One of them gasped.

"Oh calm down, it's been more than a year." Reyna called out loud.

"He's alive? Are you sure?" Frank asked with his hands on her shoulders. She nodded rapidly.

"Excuse me dead people- um I meant Senate members, but I got a quest to go on." Frank told them as he stood up straight and took off with Hazel behind him.

"Wait! Frank be careful." Hazel took him taking his hands in her own.

Frank nodded,"Alright, tell the others the news."

He turned into an eagle then, and took off into the endless shy.

Annabeth's POV

Leo told Percy and Nico some of his best adventures of when he was traveling the world.

Annabeth was getting more distracted by the second. How could they be so calm when her son was in danger? When she felt her soul breaking when she thought about her baby?

"Stop! You guys just stop! We have to complete this quest by tonight and you guy's aren't helping!" She shouted as she shrunk to the ground.

"We are going to complete it, you'll see." Calypso said as she put her arms around Annabeth.

"Yeah, Frank's going to be here any minute now and we'll be able to kick her butt." Leo agreed as he joined the hug. Even Percy joined in.

Nico sat by staring out into the sky.
"I didn't even say bye to Will." He spoke out.

The hug broke apart.

"You didn't need to Nico, you're going to come out alive...we all are." Percy reassured him.

"Something tells me I'm not." Nico responded.

"There's no way to tell." Percy told him.

Nico turned back to look at him,"I'm the Son of Hades, I know." His voice sounded sad but his expression stayed the same as it always was. Annabeth knew he would never show any sign of weakness.

"You're going to get out of this quest alive, you hear me Nico? I promised Will you would." Percy told him and he kneeled in front of him.

Nico shrugged.

"Frank's coming." He said pointing off to the distance. Sure enough, he was.

"Wow, Frank's got skills." Leo said impressed. He turned back into his human form once he touched the ground. He looked at Leo with wide eyes.

Leo spread his arms and grinned."Surprise! You could at least pretend to be happy to see me alive."

Frank took a hesitant step forward and then gave Leo a huge hug.

"My ribs." Leo said in pain.
Franke let go and smiled guiltily,"sorry. Well no actually for making us believe you were gone all these months."

He looked at the others,"So, what's the plan?"

Annabeth stood up as so did the others. She waited for Leo to start.

"You turn into a mouse." He told Frank.

"How's that going to help?" Annabeth said harshly.

"It won't. He'll be our spy. Tell us what's going on inside and stuff. And if the baby's inside then we'll attack."

"That's not a real plan Leo." Annabeth spoke.

Leo cringed," I know but it's our best shot. Unless someone else has a better plan."

Surprisingly Nico spoke next," If Frank tells us the baby's inside, I'll raise an army of skeletons. Maybe about twenty of them. It'll distract Lamia until we get the baby out safely and then we attack from all sides. Calypso will take the baby back to camp and the rest is bound to happen. The Fates will decide what will happen."

There was silence as they looked at one another.

"Raising an army of skeletons is dangerous for you Nico." Percy reminded him.

Nico smirked,"Everything is dangerous for me."

Leo clapped his hands together, "Well sounds like a plan, doesn't it Festus?" He asked his dragon. Festus squeaked.

"Yeah buddy, you'll have your own part on this quest." He told him.

Leo looked at Frank, "if you'll do is the honors of leading this quest."
Frank nodded and turned into a mouse. He scurried towards the building so quickly, Annabeth lost sight of him in less than two seconds.

"It's time to start a party." Leo called as the others waited for Frank's return.

I'm so sorry guys for not updating sooner :( i truly am. But I finally got over this writers blog and decided to get on with the story and update. To stop being lazy and just write again. Thank you all who still read this story. I plan on finishing it by January. It's my goal. Happy late Thanksgiving to all my readers :) I'm grateful for all you guys 😊 next update will be up before December 8.
