The day we die, we will meet people. It may be an ordinary day just like today or it may be known to you that you don't have much time left. Regardless, on that day you will meet people, you will see faces, you will pass by others. And some people you may recognize. But others, you may not know. And it's really sad to think about, you will never get to know that person. Now, maybe there's life after death or something that will bring you to meet the same people again but in our conscious minds, all we know for sure is that when we die we are no longer ourselves. Our bodies are empty and our souls, well, they're wherever we believe they are. We meet so many people over the course of our life time and on that day that we will never come to build a relationship with. We go to school with sometimes hundreds of other kids and we see them as their name and their reputation, not as who they really are. We have endless chances to get to know people while we are living but I think the only time it really hits us is when we're dying. We spend so much time consumed in ourselves and what we think is love that we only really know the people we have been friends with and people we have loved or still love. We barely even know ourselves.
