Chapter 10; Edward.
"Of course we have food." I said, laughing and pointing to a small table refrigerator thing. She quickly got up and looked around. I chuckled and went back to my computer except I couldn't really concentrate because I was thinking of that kiss we shared in my apartment. I wanted more. Even though she probably didn't, I wanted more. It was sorta like a drug.
I shook my head pushing any thought of her out of my mind. I looked at my
laptop and forgot what I was doing. I was talking with Matthew Maine. He was getting on my nerves but he was a worthy customer. And he could easily end my company.
You see, Matthew and Elizabeth Maine get whatever they want. If they know you knew something that they wanted and you didn't speak up, they would end you. So, I always tried my best to satisfy their needs. They had asked me to look into Isabella. They had suspicions that she was their daughter. Except I didn't exactly want to because that would be invading her privacy and I promised I would stay out of her personal life. Sighing, I answered him and told him I would stay out of that because I promised not to get involve with her personal life. That did not make him happy.
My phone went off a few moments later and I groaned. It was him. "Hello?" I said, I knew I had to answer it.
"What do you mean you can't look into her because you promised you'd stay out of her personal life? Bullsh*t!" He yelled through the phone, I rolled my eyes and gained a glance from Isabella. I sighed and rubbed my temples.
"Look, I can't talk about this right now. How about I call you once I'm in LA?" I said, I tried to keep my voice as calm as possible and it worked. This man was getting on my nerves.
"Okay." He said, he hung up and I thanked The Lord for that. Sighing I put my phone down. I put my face in my hands and groaned.
"Are you alright?" Isabella spoke up, I could hear in her voice that she was worried. I looked up at her and she looked stunning even if she was in leggings and a hoodie. I nodded and slipped out of my seat. I got up and walked towards the small refrigerator in the back. I took a water bottle out and chugged it down.
"Geez, calm down you're gonna drown." Said Isabella, it made me laugh and I chuckled.
"It's alright. I was thirsty." I said, as I walked back to my seat and sat down buckling up once again and taking my laptop on my lap once again.
"I can tell." She said while laughing. Her laugh was magical and it was music to my ears. I realized how much this girl was getting to me. I did not like it one bit. I never believe in love and I wasn't gonna start now.

We had finally reached LA and I was exhausted. It was 12 a.m here because of the time difference. I was exhausted and all I wanted to do was sleep. Isabella was walking in front of me to get out of the plane, once outside there was a car already waiting for us. I heard her yawn and walk towards the car.
We were staying at a Hilton hotel. It was suite with two rooms, so I took the bigger room and Isabella took the other one. The only bad thing was that it only had one bathroom. The rest of the suite was fine. A kitchen, a living room with a plasma TV and such. There was a balcony and you could see the city, it was pretty amazing.
"It's amazing." Isabella spoke up, she looked around and walked towards the balcony. I followed behind her and opened the glass door to the balcony, and stepped outside.
"It is." I said, I looked down at her. Her eyes were somewhat teary and I saw regret in them. She looked so stiff and you could tell she had this wall up that no one would be able to break. I sighed and stood there for a moment. I then knew I wanted to kiss her so I looked down at her and brought her face up to mine. She looked up at me with those big blue eyes and took a deep breath. I was so close to her, and her lips looked extremely soft.
I leaned in and placed my lips on her. I was kissing her once again. She didn't give in right away, but after a few seconds she started kissing me. I snaked my arms around her waist and pulled her close to me. She pulled away first gasping for air, I took a deep breath ready to give in again. Once I leaned in again she shook her head.
"You're my boss, I can't be having a relationship of some sort with my boss. I'm sorry." She said, she pulled my arms away from hers and walked back inside and towards her room. I sighed knowing she was right. I knew I couldn't but I wanted to. I walked back inside and to my room. I was exhausted.
