Chapter 3; Isabella.
"I got a job today." I said, smirking as the bartender handed me a tray with the six tequila shots I'd ordered. I walked back to my table, and I set the tray down.
I was with four of my friends. All the friends I had in New York City. Brianna, her cousin Molly, Nathan and Mark. I had met Brianna at school. We never really talked in the beginning, but once school was out she found me and we became friends.
Nathan and Mark, I had met them at a bar when news broke out that Mr. & Mrs. Maine were looking for their daughter a couple of months ago. I was roaring drunk, and I practically told them my entire life story.
And Molly, I met her through Brianna. Molly was Brianna's cousin, when I met her we instantly clicked, even though it took me some time to trust her.
We all had a tequila shot in our hands, and we were ready to drink it. "One, two, and three!" Said Brianna, as we all took the shot in our mouths.
It burned in the back of my throat, but it also felt amazing. I shook my head, and stood up taking my purse. "Sorry guys, gotta split. Work tomorrow." I said, as bit my lip and waved to everyone. I knew Brianna would leave soon too, she was in fact my roommate.
I walked out of the bar, and stood at the end of the sidewalk trying to hail a cab. When no cab stopped, I gave up and decided to walk. Home was only a few blocks away. I should've brought my car, but who drives in NYC anyways?
Shrugging, I kept walking towards my apartment when I suddenly bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry." I said, as I dusted fake dust off me.
I looked up, and it was Mr. Bass. I choked up on saliva until I could finally speak. "That's alright, Ms. Waltz." He said, chuckling and looking down at me.
I nodded, and bit on the inside of my lip until I was able to speak once again. "Goodnight." I said, walking past him and shaking my head.
Of course, only I would bump into my, now, boss in the middle of a street. In crowded New York.
Once inside my apartment, I sighed and started to strip my clothes off barely making into my room. Once I was in bed, I realized how exhausted I was.
--
My alarm went off at exactly six o'clock. I sat up, still groggily and rubbed my eyes. Groaning, I got out of bed and made my way to the bathroom.
Once inside the shower, the hot water made my muscles relax. I was extremely nervous about today. I was organized, and I did have experience but what if I messed up?
When I finished showering, I draped my towel across my body, and started to blow dry my hair. Once it was dried, I curled it with my curling iron, making the curls loose.
I went into my room to get dressed, and found it slightly hard to pick what to wear. I sighed, and decided with a gray form fitting dress. It was formal, and it didn't hug my curves so much. I also decided to wear my black coat with it since it was gonna be slightly cold.
When I finished getting dressed, I went back into the bathroom to do my make up. I didn't wear much, just some blush eyeliner and mascara. Also, some red lipstick on my lips.
I took a look in the mirror before I walked out of the bathroom, I didn't look too bad. Walking out the bathroom, I remembered I forgot my shoes so I walked back into my room and saw Brianna laying there.
I laughed, and walked to my closet. "Get up you loser." I said, as I bent down to grab my black lacy heels. I quickly slipped them on, when I noticed the time. 7:20. I had to leave in ten.
