Chapter 27; Isabella.
"No." I said, as I tried to keep moving. I felt a strong grip on my arm and I quickly yanked my arm back. I didn't want to be near them.
"Isabella. Just listen to us." She said, and I scoffed. They definitely couldn't make me do anything. They had lost that privelage a long time ago.
"Just stop." I said and kept walking to meet Edward. I was flustered and annoyed and as soon as I got near Edward, he noticed it.
"What happened?" He said as he took my hand in his. I shrugged and let out a breath.
"My parents." I said through gritted teeth and he nodded, he understood. It sucked because I didn't want to be near them, and yet they there were. Everywhere. It was frustrating as hell.
He sighed and took me into his arms. I let out a deep breath I didn't know I was holding. Everything was just frustrating.
"Let's go." I nodded, and we headed towards his car. I slipped in and put my seatbelt on, a few seconds later we were on our way.
"Where are we going for lunch?" I managed to say. Meeting my parents earlier had put me in a foul mood. I didn't want to take it out on Edward, but I knew it was going to be hard. Especially cause I knew they were going to go to the media about this. And make me look like the bad guy.
"Somewhere special." He smiled over at me and I frowned. I usually liked surprises, but with my mood, I wasn't too much into it.
Sighing, I leaned my head against the headrest and closed my eyes. I thought about everything. How I would be shown to the world? I definitely wouldn't be the victim. They would never portray me as someone good. My parents would play that role.
The car came to a stop and I opened my eyes. I looked around and I noticed we were at a fancy, fancy restaurant. I wasn't dressed the part.
"Edward.." I started. He shook his head and got out, leaving me in the passenger seat. A second later, he was opening my door and setting his hand out for me to take. I looked around once again and sighed.
"It's okay," he said and I nodded. We walked into the restaurant and as soon as they saw Edward, we were led to a private room. It had a big window which overlooked the city, and a table right in the middle. I smiled and looked over at Edward. Of course he had done this. Even though it was just lunch.
"Oh, Edward. You're wonderful." I whispered and he laughed. He led me off to the table, he pulled the chair out for me and I sat. He pushed me closer to the table, and made his way around to his own seat.
"You know, I'd do anything for yo--" Edward was interrupted by one of the waitress.
"Uh, sir. M'am. I think you need to turn on the news." She said, as she clicked a button on the remote she was holding. The news came up.
It was my parents. Crying. About how I was found. And that I didn't want anything to do with them.
The news reporter was calling me names and saying how ungrateful I was, and that I should forgive me.
It hurt. It really did. Because no one out there knew the real story.
