"Were they there?" Marian asks as I fly through the open door.

"Yes."

"Well, did you do anything?"

"Got rid of one of their people." I say and she smirks clapping her hands.

"Impressive. How'd you get rid of them? Did you murder them, cut them up into little tiny pieces?" she asks. The thought of that makes me nauseous and I shake my head.

"Claimed her soul." I mumble then shove by. I head up the stairs to my room and sit down on the bed. A camera catches my eye and I stand up and move over to it. I grab it and stumble as images flash through my mind.

Christina. Christina and a man. Blood. Crying. Screaming.

"Shane!" I jerk awake at the sound and instantly push up. "I'm right here. I'm right here." I say gently grabbing her arms. She breathes heavy, tears staining her cheeks.

"I'm sorry I just, I am, I can't- I-"

"Shhh Christina breathe. I'm right here. I won't leave you."

I'm jerked into another moment and breathe heavy.

"Get out now!" I shout my voice raising so loud and anger evident in each word.

"Excuse me?" the guy asks. Alec... Alec asks...

"Get out now, leave this place. You've reached the last straw. No human being deserves to go through that hell you just put Christina through."

"It was a joke."

"A joke is putting an innocent girl's naked body on papers, and plastering them to the walls!? That's sick!" I shout

"She's a big girl, she can handle herself." Alec says...

"Maybe so, but she can't handle you. I know what you've done to her, she told me everything. I know you tried to rape her; and your own best friend... I also know that you stole her towel and took those photos plastered all over the walls last night. I know all about what you did. I know all about what you've done-

"And I know what you've done Shane..."

I grab onto my head as more images and memories flash through my mind.

"I can't hold you and kiss you like I want now can I?"

"Now Bane."

"You're not turning-

"It's not safe. Do it now!"

Pain.. So much pain. A scream of agony rips free from my throat.

"Why haven't you transformed yet!?" a voice screeches.

"Because I'm strong." I breathe out clenching my fists.

"Not strong enough. What's your secret!?"

"I have a reason to stay sane, to not give- aughhhh! - into your darkness!" I scream

"Damn you!" he shouts slamming my head down.

"You will transform Shane, Christina won't be alive much longer. And when she dies, apart of you will die with her!"

My vision starts to blacken and I groan.

"Find her!" I hear him shout. But I'm too far gone..

A girl.. A girl not Christina. I hold her in my grip her body pressed to mine. Uneven breathing.

How could I do this? How could I betray Christina like this?

Yet I don't move. I stay their next to this girl.

She blinks open her eyes and smiles.

"Marian." I say and she smirks.

"She'll see this and she'll never love you again."

Christina Christina Christina

"No!"

It was a mistake it was all a mistake.

"She will never love you again! She'll see this. Your erratic breathing, your-

"No!" I shout but I know it's true.. I did this.. I did that...

"She'll never forgive you."

......

I gasp as they stop and fall to my hands and knees. I breathe heavy as images continue to flutter through my mind.

Footsteps sound and I snap my attention over to the door as it opens.

"Everything ok?"

Marian...

"Christina never tried to kill me." I say and she laughs.

"How tired are you?" she asks. I swat her away then stand up to my full height. I tower above her and she looks up.

"My name is Shane. That's the one thing you didn't lie about.

"What are you talking about?" she asks innocently.

"You know exactly what I mean! I was Christina's protector. I fell in love her. Then I was scratched. I ran to protect her. You found me in a vulnerable state. You took advantage of me. You used my weaknesses for your own play! I turned.. I was in love with her. You ripped those memories from me!" I shout and she smirks.

"Took you long enough." she mumbles and I lunge at her. A knife appears in her hands and I dodge as she stabs at me. I finally get a good grip on her and twist grabbing her head between my hands. She whimpers in pain as I put pressure.

"One move and I snap your neck." I hiss

"You really think it'll be that easy?" she asks and I curse as she stabs the knife into my stomach. It won't kill me, but it knocks me off long enough that she shoves me back hard and slams my head into the stone floor.

"We gotta keep moving." I say and Luke nods. I swing my bag onto my shoulder and he does the same. I grab my jacket and amulet putting them both on as we leave the room. We take the stairs down and reach the main lobby.

Alec comes into view and I yank Luke back.

"Sorry, I don't share personal information of my guests. Now sir, if you'd excuse me." she says.

"No!" I scream, the silver knife shimmering. She spins around but it's too late. Alec stabs the knife into her chest and I scream as she falls dead.

"Ah Christina." Alec says and Luke yanks me back towards the back exit.

I spin and chuck a knife hitting Alec in the leg. He curses falling to the ground as we run. We kick open the door and jump into the car. I sob as he pulls away and we speed off as Alec limps through the door. Luke speeds away and I cry silently as we go.
