"What are y'all just sitting around for?" I ask stepping from the portal.

"You were in there for three hours Christina! You had us worried as hell!" Nick shouts

"Sorry. I was just looking around."

"And what did you find?"

"A well."

"What, like a wishing well?" Luke asks and I nod

"Yes but instead of a wishing well, it was an answer well." I say and Luke raises an eyebrow.

"It was the most amazing thing." I say with a smile.

"I saw Jennie too." I say and Nick brightens up.

"Is she ok?" he asks and I nod happily.

"Yeah. She is." I say and he smiles

"Did she tell you why you were the only one who could get through the portal?"

"A protection spell."

"Of course." Drew says with a sigh and I nod.

"Wait, you said answering well. What did you ask it?" Luke asks

"Ok so it doesn't give straight forward answers. It's kind of iffy."

"Then how's it gonna help us?"

"Jennie said the answers we truly need will come in due time."

"How will you know when that time is though? Will it call out to you?"

"I'm not sure. But Jennie said I'd know the answers when I needed to." I say and he nods.

"Well, we need to shut if off so no unwanted hands touch it." I say and they nod. I walk over to it and call Echo. He hops out then onto my shoulder. I shut the amulet then put it around my neck as Echo transforms back into his tattoo state.

"It's late and I'm tired. So Ima take a shower then go to bed."

"What about dinner?" Mike asks

"It's like nine pm. But I mean, I'm sure there's stuff in the fridge." I say and Drew nods at Mike.

"See y'all tomorrow." I say then turn around and head to the stairs. I climb them to the top then head down the hall to my room. I push open the door and walk inside freezing when I find Shane laying on the bed.

"Why are you here?" I hiss and he looks up at me

"I'm here to warn you."

"Are you suicidal!? You need to get out of here. There's three guys down there that would love to see you killed, and Luke... God he'd lose his shit!" I hiss

"He's already lost it." he says and I glare. He holds up his hands in surrender and sighs.

"I'm just here to warn you ok?" he asks and I nod as he sits up.

"You have two free days left... Alec plans to attack November 12, at dawn. He has several new mutants and they are stronger then ever. Brett was dead, but is not anymore, and has left him, but that has only made Alec stronger. Do not underestimate him Christina, he has plans, big ones. Marian, she's coming for you too. She wants nothing but death from you, and with Brett on her side, unless you can fight them off, that's just what will become of you. You're safe for now Christina, but as soon as that clock strikes at dawn on November 12, the war will begin."

"And what about you Shane?" I ask

"What about me?"
