I catch her in my arms with a laugh. We climb down the stairs and I look around at the three boys. They all have bewildered looks on their faces, but they say nothing.

"Y'all act like you're looking at a ghost." I mutter

"We might be." Nick mumbles and I roll my eyes.

"It was just a bad dream." I say with a shrug, sitting down beside Drew.

"Yeah, just a bad dream." Drew retorts and I glare at him.

Grace puts her arms around my neck and I smile as she puts her head on my shoulder.

"I'm glad you're ok Chrissy."  she whispers and I smile hugging her back. She releases me and slides down so she's just sitting on my lap. I put my arms around her waist and look over at Nick.

"Where's Luke been?" I look up as Drew walks into the kitchen and shrug.

"He said shower, so I guess shower." I say pulling out the pan. I put it down on the counter then turn back to face him.

"He stayed with you every minute you were out." he says and I nod.

"Yeah? He was there when I woke up." I say grabbing a knife.

"I had to force him to sleep." he says and I laugh slightly. I cut into the food then put it on a plate.

"Well, he would barely talk to me when I finally woke up." I say handing the plate to him.

"Will you please take this out to Grace?" I ask and he nods. He grabs the plate then turns and leaves. I turn back to the sink and look out the window. The moon has finally reached its peak and I sigh turning back to the pan of casserole. I go back to cutting it and look up as the door opens.

"Was starting to think you might've drowned in the water." I say looking back down.

"Nope." he says walking by me and to the fridge. I turn back to cutting the food and putting small squares of it onto each of the plates.

"Smells good." he says shutting the fridge and I shrug.

"My mom taught me a few things." I mumble turning to face him. He holds a beer out to me and I eye it then shake my head.

"Your loss." he says and I roll my eyes as I hand him three plates. He struggles to hold them all, and the beer. He shifts, tucking the bottle under his arm then grabbing the three plates.

"Take them out and I'll bring the last two." I say and he pivots on his heel and leaves.

I grab the other two plates and follow soon after him, putting my two down on the table.

"Smells great Christina." Drew says and I smile walking over to Grace. She looks up at me and smiles with her lips, hiding her chewed up food behind.

"Is it good?" I ask and she nods her head wildly. I smile then turn and walk back into the kitchen. I grab a water bottle then go back out and sit down beside Drew. Luke looks over at me, then looks away and I roll my eyes taking a sip of water and eating my food.

Later that night, I'm finishing up scrubbing the dishes when footsteps sound.

"Need some help?" I look over as Drew walks in and shrug.

"I'm actually just about done." I say wiping off the last plate then cleaning it with soap. He walks over and grabs the stack of plates.

"Well thanks." I say and he nods

"Luke took Grace up." he says and I nod pouring out what's left of the drinks, down the disposal.

"Did something happen between you two?" he asks and I shake my head.
