"Christina get up!"

I jerk awake my eyes wide.

"What the hell Luke!?" I exclaim and he smirks

"Come on. We've been waiting down stairs for you."

"Ugh!" I groan but climb out of the bed anyways.

I follow him down the stairs and everyone looks up at us.

"So, how's everyone?" I ask at all the wide eyes.

"Ready." Nick says stepping forward and I look around at them all.

"Are you all ready?"

"How could we not be?" one asks and I look around. Shane steps forward next and I smile gently at him. He nods to me as Drew steps forward.

"You're the face of this war Christina. We'd be fools to not follow you." Shane says and I nod. I feel Luke move from beside me and watch as he walks down the stairs.

"We're your army Christina. You're our leader." Luke says and I nod looking upon them all.

"Then let's do this. For the light. For the peace. For those we've lost! This war is coming to an end tonight. And we will come out on top. I'm tired of fearing the darkness. I'm tired of losing people I care for and love! This world is in chaos! Everything needs to go. I'm done fearing them!" I shout and an eruption of shouts fill the air.

"Let's bring the darkness down! Send them back where they be long. Right back to hell!" I shout and claps sound throughout the room of people.

We have about five hours left till this world may or may not go up in flames. Everyone is stressed but working hard. Everyone wants to win; nobody wants to lose. We've been continuing to work our asses off, this is a war that this world, honestly depends on the light winning. Luke's been gone for two hours though... So I left my spot and decided to go see if I could find him.

I knock on the bathroom door then slowly push it open. Luke turns to look at me and I slowly walk over.

"You alright?" I ask and he nods. He turns on the water and puts his hands under it, without meeting my eyes.

"You're scared, aren't you?" I ask gently and he grips the edge of the sink.

"Not for the reasons you think." he mumbles and I sigh.

"Wanna talk about it?"

"There's no reason too." he says again then goes to leave.

"Luke, please talk to me."

"Why?"

"Because, I need to know you'll stand by me and follow me into this war. I need to know if you're having second thoughts." I say and he goes to say something then a knock sounds on the door.

"Uh come in." I say and the door opens. Shane steps in and Luke scoffs then walks by.

"Hey." I say and he nods towards Luke.

"What's his deal?"

"No idea. Anyways what's up?" I ask and he motions to the necklace around my neck.

"What about it?" I ask

"What does it do? How will it help us? I know you've been hiding it from me."

"It was for precaution." I say and he nods

"I get it." he mutters and I nod.

"It gives us insight." is all I say and he nods.
