"Luke! Damn it! Luke slow down!" I shout chasing him up the stairs.

"Luke!" I shout finally catching up to him as he spins on me.

"Why wouldn't you tell me!?" he hisses pushing me into a room where nobody will be able to hear us.

"I was scared." I say quietly and he shakes his head.

"Of what!? I've been nothing but straightforward with you. Why would you keep this from me!? From Shane?" he hisses and I bite my lip shifting my gaze down.

"Jesus, he knew. Are you kidding me!?" he shouts and I grab his arm.

"Luke! I didn't know if I could trust you! He said you'd kill me!" I shout stopping him from leaving.

"Why didn't you come to me!?" he shouts

"I didn't think I could trust you!" I shout and he shakes his head.

"So you instead, keep the biggest secret of a lifetime from me, when it explains so much!" he shouts

"Luke! Listen to me." I say pulling him back when he tries to leave.

"Shane said you weren't as generous as him. That you would kill me if you found out the truth! Do you know how terrifying that was for me to hear!? Shane said-

"Shane is gone Christina! He's been gone for weeks now, almost a whole month! And you still kept it from me." he hisses and I shake my head.

"Luke I was scared." I whisper

"Of what!?" he shouts.

"Of this! Of you getting mad at me, of you turning on me and killing me!" I exclaim

"I would never do that to you Christina."

"How was I supposed to know that Luke? Maybe now you would've stayed by me, but think back. You could've turned on me. You probably would have." I whisper and he shakes his head, disbelief evident on his face.

"I would never turn on you, I would never." he says sternly and I shake my head.

"How can you be so sure of that? I was terrified! I wanted to keep myself safe, I wanted to keep Nick safe. Luke we have so many enemies in this world! I didn't want you to become one too." I say moving in front of the door so he can't leave.

"Luke please." I say when he looks away from me.

"You lied to me Christina. You kept a secret from me that literally explains so damn much." he says and I feel a tear fall down my cheek.

"I didn't do it to hurt you Luke. I didn't want you to find out and leave me. I couldn't bare losing you too."

"Me too? So you would have said nothing to me if Shane was still here?"

"That is not what I meant Luke!"

"Tell me right now. That we'd be having this conversation; that I'd know your secret right now, if Shane was still here." he says and I look down.

"I can't tell you that Luke. But I can tell you, that that doesn't mean I don't trust you."

"No, just not as much as Shane."

"Luke!" I shout as he shoves by me and leaves the room.

"Luke!" I shout leaving the room behind him. But he's already gone.

I slide down the wall as angry and stressed tears fall down my cheeks. I put my head to my knees then look up and wipe them away.

"Christina?"

I look over as Drew steps from his room and I wipe my face again.

"Sorry, go back to bed." I say as he walks over to me.

"He'll come around." he says sitting down beside me and I shake my head.

"I don't know. I kept something huge from him. When he's been nothing but honest and true to me." I say and he sighs.

"We all have our secrets Christina. His just haven't come to surface yet." he says and I shake my head.

"And now, I'll never know when they do. He'll never tell me anything again."

"That's not true and you know it."

"I don't know it." I say rubbing my arms and he looks over at me.

"I do." he says and I take a deep breath standing up.

"I better go check on Grace. It's only like three, get more sleep." I say and he pats my leg then leaves, going back into his bedroom. I walk down the stairs and into Nick's room. He looks over at me and I let a small smile make up my lips.

"Hey, you ok if I get some more sleep?" I ask and he nods yanking the last silver bind tight around his father's arm.

"He's not getting out anytime soon. Get more sleep. I'll be fine." he says and I nod.

"Oh, and Christina."

I turn back around before leaving the room and he sighs.

"I'm sorry."

"For what?" I ask confused.

"For telling about being a Destined. I know you-

"Hey don't be. It's better he knows."

"Do you think he'll get over it?"

"I hope so, but I honestly don't know." I say and he nods in understanding.

"Night Christina." he says and I nod.

"Night Nick."

I shut the door behind me then head back up the stairs and to my room. I push open the door and walk in. I find Luke sitting in the window seat and I walk over.

"Luke?" I ask and he looks over at me but says nothing.

"You're still mad." I say but once again, he stays silent.

"You can't stay mad at me forever." I say forcing my butt down beside him. He shifts some giving me more room and I put my chin on his shoulder.

"I can stay mad as long as I want." he mumbles

"Luke, I said I was sorry."

"Sorry means nothing in this life." he says and I huff as he gets up.

"So that's it? You're just gonna stay mad at me? You're just gonna keep quiet and ignore me?" I ask and he looks over at me.

"If it comes down to it, sure." He says with a shrug and now I'm just annoyed.

"Luke." I bite out and he shrugs laying down on the bed.

"Damn it. I said I was sorry!" I hiss and he shrugs.

"I already told you that I'm sorry, means nothing in this life."

"Damn it you're so complicated!" I shout then instantly quiet as Grace lets out a hoarse cry.

"Then so be it." he says and I scoff crossing my arms.
