Chapter 4: Prank war

(Noa's POV)

I woke up to smell the scent of forest. I slowly got out of my bed and put on my jeans and t-shirt that I had been wearing yesterday. I brushed my hair and went downstairs. When I got downstairs, I saw Esmee and Femke talking to Legolas. They talked about a chicken named Dora the eggsplorer, Lord of the pancakes, Hotwings, which Esmee had lost when she was ten and still lives. Femke was drinking again, (as always) and laughing with Esmee. Legolas didn't understand why they were laughing and just sat there awkwardly. I saved him by starting a conversation, ''sooo, how's life?'' ''Great'' Legolas said happily. ''mwuuuaaa'' said Femke while she put the bottle of vodka down. ''Why,'' Legolas asked. ''Because the vodka is gone, I'm going to get new!'' Femke screamed. ''No'' I said. ''Why not.'' ''Because you smell like alcohol Femke! Go have a shower!'' I said demandingly. Then Femke walked to the bathroom pouting and screamed an ''I hate you!'' To me, which I replied with an ''I love you too!'' Then I turned to Legolas and said, '' Where has your father gone?'' ''O, he is still sleeping, he was kinda tired of the whole trip yesterday''. I looked at Esmee and she nodded. ''Okay.'' I stayed and distracted Legolas, while Esmee filled a bucket of water. When Esmee was ready, I told Legolas that we would sleep for a couple of more hours. Then Esmee and I walked to the room were Thranduil was sleeping, without Legolas noticing of course. Very silently we opened the door and saw Thranduil sprawled out on the couch in the room. We slowly walked over and Esmee whispered something in my ear, ''he looks so cute when he is asleep.'' I softly giggled. Then Esmee threw the bucket of water over Thranduil. He awoke screaming so loudly, we got an annoying warning of the neighbours. Then Linde came in screaming, ''What in Valhalla is going on!'' ''I just wanted to ask the same thing.'' Thranduil said angrily. ''Well,'' Esmee began explaining. ''We wanted to wake up Thranduil, but in a more amusing way.'' ''I will get my revenge!'' Thranduil said mockingly. ''I'd like to see you try!'' I said seriously. ''Is that a challenge?'' ''If you want it to be.'' ''So be it'' Thranduil looked me seriously in the eye. I felt a blush creep up my cheeks and turned away quickly before anyone would see. '''Prank War'' Thranduil said very seriously. ''Deal, but I must warn you, I am the queen of pranks in this house.'' ''Challenge accepted.'' And then I realised that we had to be at school in half an hour, ''come on Esmee we have to be at school in half an hour!'' I yelled. ''Okay let's go and eat breakfast after the first lesson.'' ''Thranduil, keep an eye on Legolas and stay out of trouble while we are gone, okay?'' ''Okay'' Thranduil said with a nagging tone in his voice. ''O, and also keep an eye on Femke, don't let her drink any more vodka.'' Esmee said. ''Okay, with that settled let's go!'' Linde said happily. And we went to school, this is going to be a long day, I thought.

We reached school and walked to our lockers to put away our jackets. The first bell rang and we made our way to the classroom. The first hour was math... Let's just say it's not my favourite subject, nor Linde's. I sat down behind the desk and took out my books and notebook. Linde sat next to me and Esmee behind us. Last week when we had math the teacher punished Esmee and now she had to sit all by herself. We somehow got the teacher to agree that she could sit behind us.

The teacher checked our homework while we were doing some work.

I was solving a math problem when Linde slapped the back of my head. "Oww! What the hell are you doing?" I asked trying not to scream. Linde slightly chuckled. I looked at the teacher but he didn't see anything. "I'm just testing the teacher's observational skills... plus I'm bored." Linde replied. I placed my pen on the table and turned to Linde. "Well? How is he doing?" "Uhm, considering you almost screamed and he didn't hear it I would say.... minus infinity." She said making me laugh.

Linde's (POV)

Noa laughed and the teacher snapped his head towards us. We immediately stopped messing around and turned back to our work. After 15 minutes I was extremely bored and tapped Noa's shoulder. "Yeah?" She asked still focusing on her work. "I'm still bored." Noa stopped and looked at me. "Me too." "Me three!" Esmee whispered from behind us. The teacher stood in front to the class and asked for our attention. "Okay everyone, silent please! Next week the exam week will start, as you all know! I recommend that you all revise this chapter as much as possible. It's very important you pass the math exam because if you don't you won't get your diploma!" He said making me roll my eyes. "It won't matter anyway." I whispered to Noa and Esmee. Esmee gave me a confused look. "Why not?" Noa asked. "Because we are leaving Saturday." I said. Noa lifted her head remembering what we were going to do and so did Esmee.

When the bell rang we went to the lab and did some practical exercises for biology. When the second hour was finished we had our small break and after we had English and then a free hour. We just made our homework for this week. We were planning on spending as much time with Thranduil and Legolas as possible. The bell rang again and we had our big break and after that we had a music lesson. I was always very excited for this hour because it was the only relaxing subject we had and we only had it twice a week.

There is one guy in our music class and he has the voice of an angel but loves to sing rock music. I always play on the guitar and Noa on the piano. Everyone from the school can play a bit of keyboard but Noa is one of the most amazing pianists I've ever seen. She taught me how to play on a grand piano and I'm alright. Esmee has been drumming for quite some time and is very good at it as well. I immediately walked to Danny. He was reading songlyrics. He always does it. He is so scared he is going to forget it and just freeze. "Hey Dan!" I exclaimed happily and he smiled at me. "Hey, how are you?" He asked still smiling. "I'm good! And you?" "Yeah, me too." He replied. We had about 12 people that are in our music class and I really adore these people. Our music teacher clapped her hands and we all fell silent. "Alright, the instruments have already been used in the previous lesson so we can use them immediately. Now we'll start with the first song from the paper and then we'll just follow it." She instructed us. We all walked to our instruments. I had to play on two guitars. A acoustic guitar and an electric guitar. For most of the songs I need the electric guitar. I looked on my paper and saw the first song. "Best Of Me" by A Day To Remember.

We had more but these are the songs we were going to do today. It was our last hour so if we don't finish it in time we just continue. We did every song but when we finished we still had about 4 minutes left so we decided to do one last song: "All I Need To Know" by Thousand Foot Krutch. It was one of my favourite songs. I picked up the acoustic guitar and Danny started singing...

We finished the song and then put away the instruments. I grabbed my bag and Noa, Esmee and I walked to our lockers and grabbed our jackets. I was so happy to be finished for the day. Normally we would be on school until 17:00 just like on Monday and that's a hell. But some of our classes couldn't continue so we were free to go.

We entered the apartment and I looked on the clock that was on the wall. "It's 15:17. We're faster than we normally are." I stated and Noa chuckled. "Hello!" Noa yelled through the house and Femke walked into the corridor. "Hey guys, c'mon! We're watching TV!" Femke said happily, at least she was sober. "What are you watching?" I asked placing my bag on the ground. "We were just watching Dora the Explorer because there was nothing else but now that you're here we wanted to watch some movies." Femke replied. "What were you thinking of?" Noa asked. "Uhm, I don't know. You and Linde are the movie-experts so I thought that maybe you should pick movie." Femke said. I nodded and we went into the living room where Legolas and Thranduil were sitting on the couch looking in awe at the TV. I tapped Noa's shoulder and then pointed at the elves. Noa slightly giggled. They looked so adorable. Thranduil looked towards us and gave us a slight nod. Legolas also turned his head to us and he smiled. We smiled back. "So what do you guys want to watch?" I asked. Legolas shrugged and Thranduil just looked back at the TV. I turned to Noa. "Alright, let's have a Loki marathon! We'll watch Thor 1, The Avengers and Thor 2." Noa heavily nodded. Noa and I sat on the couch 'cause it was right in front of the TV and it had the best view. Noa and I barely had any space between the two big me...elves. I scrolled through all the movies we had and when I found Thor 1 I hit play. Esmee came from the kitchen with four bowls. One with popcorn, sweet of course. And the other three were filled with crisps. She also brought something to drink. "Oh, I just checked our schedule for tomorrow but everything is cancelled so we don't have to go to school." Esmee said placing everything on the coffee table. "Nice!" I exclaimed. Esmee sat down in a chair and we started watching the movie.

This was going to be awesome!
