(Femke's POV)

We rode out of the forest and into a plain. "Who is this friend of yours?" I asked. We slowed the horses down and they were walking calmly. "Before I was caught by the elves I lived with him. I help him a lot with harvest and other things so he said he would help me with anything." Joriam said and I nodded. We reached a house and we dismounted the horses. "Hopefully he's home." Joriam said. We walked to the door and Joriam opened it. "Shouldn't you knock or something?" Esmee asked. "This is my home! I don't have to knock on any of the doors!" Joriam exclaimed.

We walked inside the house and it was huge. The chairs were bigger, the table was higher and pretty much everything was big. "Welcome, My Ladies! I hope you'll be happy in my home!" Joriam said grinning.

The door opened behind us and a huge man, taller than an elf, walked inside. He growled at us but Joriam stood in front of us. "Hey big guy! Don't worry they're my friends!" Joriam said and the man relaxed but still watched us closely. "This is Esmee and this is Femke." Joriam said introducing us. "Girls, this is Beorn."

"Nice to meet you, Beorn." Esmee said cheerfully and I nodded towards Beorn. "How long will they stay?" Beorn asked. "Well, uhm, I'm not sure yet. I guess till they found somewhere else." Joriam said and Beorn nodded. "Where were you, Joriam?" Beorn asked but Joriam didn't answer. "Where?" Beorn repeated getting a bit angry. "I was in the forest... with the elves... in their palace... in the dungeons." Joriam answered. "How did you get out?" Beorn asked continuing to question his friend. "Well, let's say that blood was spilled." Joriam said and Beorn sighed. "Okay, anyone hungry?" Joriam asked and took us to the kitchen area. "It seems you have a really good bond. You're probably very good friends." I said sarcastically and Joriam looked at me. "Friends? D-did I say friends? We're more allies than friends, really." Joriam said and I sighed. "Great."

(Noa's POV)

"They probably didn't stay in the forest, they wouldn't be that stupid." Tauriel, captain of the guard, said to Thranduil. Currently Linde and I were in Thranduil's study. They were trying to find Femke, Esmee and some other prisoner. "Where would they go to?" Legolas asked. "Do you have any idea?" Thranduil asked Linde and me but we shook our head. "Can't you just let them run?" Linde asked. "They did nothing wrong! You don't have to worry about them anymore and they can be free. I say it's a win-win situation." Linde added. "I'm not letting them go." Thranduil said. "My Lord could you please explain why not?" I asked not getting his point. Thranduil didn't answer and poured himself a glass of wine. Linde looked at me irritably and then looked back at Thranduil. "I don't know who this other prisoner was and I don't know why he was in the dungeons but surely, you must agree that Femke and Esmee didn't do anything." Linde said. "Indeed you don't know what that prisoner has done but the same goes for your friends. First off, Esmee punched me! And now they escape and kill some of my guards!" Thranduil shouted. "They what?" I asked shocked. "They've killed five of my guards." Thranduil repeated and I looked at Linde who was just as shocked as me. "Do you understand now Linde, why I want to find them?" Thranduil asked and Linde softly nodded.

"Though, I don't think that your friends were the ones who came up with the idea of killing them. I'll talk to them and give them a punishment other than life-long in the dungeons." Thranduil said. "But they have to apologize to me." He added. "They'll never apologize willingly!" I exclaimed. "Then maybe you should talk to them." Thranduil said. "When we don't know where they are?" Linde asked. "You won't find them by staying here. Go search for them if you want them found." Thranduil said and Linde walked out the door groaning and cursing to herself.

Tauriel and Legolas also walked out the room and now I was alone with Thranduil. "What are you waiting for? Don't you want to find your friends?" Thranduil asked impatiently. "I just wanted to say thank you." I said. Thranduil looked at me confused. "What for?" He asked. "For wanting to negotiate with Esmee and Femke." "That is a good thing?" He asked and I nodded. "Better than just throwing them in the dungeons and letting them rot away." I said and Thranduil gave me small nod. "You're welcome." He said and I smiled at him. I walked out the door but I quickly glanced back at Thranduil smiling to himself.
