(Noa's POV)

Legolas had been training us for about a week and my muscles were very sore. "Lift your weight to your other leg, Noa!" Legolas shouted. Linde and I were sweating like crazy and breathing heavily. "Use more strength when you hit, Linde!" Legolas shouted and Linde rolled her eyes. "Can we stop?" I asked blocking Linde's attacks. "Not until either of you loses!" Legolas replied and Linde and I both sighed deeply. "Just lose then we can rest." Linde said but I shook my head. "I'm not going to lose! Do it yourself!" I said to her. "No way!"

We continued fighting and I was getting more exhausted by the second. I lunged myself towards Linde and we fell to the ground. I sat on top of her but she managed to get me on the ground and she sat on me. I brought up my knee and hit her back. Linde fell forwards and I rolled her off me. I sat next to her and held her down with one hand and with the other I pointed a dagger at her throat. "Fuck you." Linde said under her breath making me laugh. "Good job, Noa. You won this duel." Legolas said and I threw my hands in the air victoriously. "Yes!" I exclaimed and I heard Linde groan. I stood up and held my hand out to my friend. Linde took it and I helped her off the ground. "Nice work." Linde said and I smiled at her. "Thanks."

(Femke's POV)

Beorn and Joriam had been very hospital. Joriam had even been kind enough to teach us how to fight. Esmee and I had just finished our training and we were eating our dinner. "What would Linde and Noa be doing right now?" Esmee asked. She had been going on about them for the entire week and she had been on my last nerve. "I don't know! Not worrying about us it seems!" I shouted at Esmee and she looked at her plate. "They probably don't even care we left!" I added. "Why are you doubting their friendship and loyalty! They're probably searching for us in every corner of the forest!" Esmee yelled back at me. "Well, we're not in the forest, are we now?!" I asked. "They don't know that!" Esmee exclaimed. "Maybe we should go to the forest to find them. We can tell them that we're fine! It's the perfect idea! We don't have to go back to Mirkwood and they can stop worrying about us!" Esmee suggested and I glared at her.

"Indeed that's a perfect idea! If you want to be killed by elves, that is!" I said. "Noa and Linde wouldn't hurt us!" "No, they wouldn't but the guards will! Do you really think that Thranduil would let them go without guards?! He probably thinks they want to flee!" I said and Esmee sighed deeply.

Joriam walked towards the table. "What the commotion about?" He asked. "Nothing." Esmee and I said in unison while glaring at each other. "It didn't sound like nothing." Joriam said and Esmee and I glared at Joriam. "Okay, okay, it was nothing." Joriam quickly said and shut his mouth. "Joriam, have you seen any guards in the forest who were looking for something or someone?" I asked and Esmee rolled her eyes. "No, I haven't." Joriam said and I saw Esmee's eyes widen. "Are you sure? You've seen no one? Not even two elleths?" Esmee asked and Joriam shook his head. "Not a single soul." He said and a pained expression crossed Esmee's eyes. "I told you so, they don't care." I said and Esmee stood up from the table. "Where are you going?" I asked confused. "I'm going for a walk." she simply said and walked outside.

Joriam sat in front of me where Esmee had been sitting. "What's up with you two?" He asked. "Esmee thought that our old friends still cared about us, which they don't." I explained. "How do you know that?" Joriam asked. "If they did they would've searched for us." I said and Joriam nodded. "Maybe they want to. Maybe they are not allowed to leave." Joriam said and I looked at him. "Yeah, sure." I scoffed and stood up. "I'm going to see where Esmee is." I walked out the door and saw that Esmee's horse was missing. In the far distance I saw Esmee galloping towards the forest. "Oh, fuck no!" I exclaimed and quickly mounted my horse.

(Linde's POV)

"For the last time you're not leaving!" Thranduil shouted and I looked at Noa. "Please, you said that we could search for them on our own!" Noa begged. Thranduil shot her a glare and she quickly looked away from him. "Does your word mean nothing?" I asked. "I never gave you my word!" Thranduil replied and I sighed annoyed. "You can't lock us up here!" I exclaimed and Thranduil narrowed his eyes at me. "Try me. I can do whatever I want." Thranduil calmly said.
