(Linde's POV)
I waited until Noa turned the corner and after that I softly knocked on the door. After I didn't get a reply I knocked on the door again but louder not getting a reply again. "Legolas?" "Legolas would you please open the door for me?" I asked. "Legolas please! At least unlock the door!" I tried, nothing... nothing at all.
I leaned against the door and sat on the ground. I waited for what seemed like ages. I was lost in my thoughts and was startled when all of the sudden two legs stopped in front of me. I looked up meeting Thranduil's eyes. "How long have you been here?" He asked but I shrugged. "I don't know, Noa brought me here and then went to talk to you." I said and Thranduil's eyes widened.
"That was four hours ago! Have you been here all that time?" He asked and I nodded. "You really care for him?" I nodded again. "Noa and I made a deal." I frowned. "And what is the deal?" I asked. "I'm not going to tell you but I will tell you if Noa loses you have to go back to Rivendell and live there."
I was shocked and I didn't know what to say. "W-what? You can't... you can't send me away!" I stammered. "I don't think I have to. I think that I've lost but maybe I'm at peace with that." Thranduil said with a faint smile. "Are planning to stay here all night or would you like to join us for dinner?" "I'm quite hungry actually." Thranduil held out his hand and I looked at it for a second but then took it.
Thranduil pulled me off the ground and together we walked to the dining room. "Wait, I'm not dressed properly." I said but Thranduil just shrugged. "I don't mind." He said and he politely opened the door for me. I was happy to finally eat something. "Have you talked to Legolas yet?" Noa asked but I shook my head.
"I've tried and I've asked him to open the door but he didn't." I said looking at my empty plate. "I'm sure he heard your voice, he'll let you in soon enough." Tauriel said and I smiled at her.
I went to Legolas's room every single and asked him to open the door just as Noa tried to convince Thranduil to let the dwarves go but both of them were persistent. Thranduil wouldn't let them go and Legolas didn't respond to anything. He didn't even make a single noise to let me know he was there.
I kept trying for at least an entire week. I was slowly giving up hope he would ever open up but Noa kept sending to see him.
I walked down to the dungeons and the guards let me pass. Noa had already been down here a few times but I hadn't. I passed all the cells that were filled with dwarves. They glared at me as I searched the cells for my friends. "What you lookin at, lass?" A tough looking dwarf asked. I frowned at his weird hair. He was bald at the top but from the side long brown hair grew reached his shoulders.
"Well?" He asked coming towards me. "Nothing." I simply said and continued searching. One of the dwarves sadly stared at nothing and I stopped in front of his cell. "Are you okay?" I asked and he glared at me. "I'm in a stinking cell, what do you think?" He asked. "Thorin... don't be like that." A voice said from the dark of the cell.
I recognized the voice and my face lit up. "Femke?" From a dark corner a figure stood up and walked towards the bars. We exchanged a smile. "It's good to finally see you!" Femke exclaimed and I nodded. "I'm happy to see you." "Have you talked to Legolas?" I shook my head. "How did you--?" "Noa told me because I asked why you hadn't come down here yet." I nodded understanding. "Sorry by the way. I should've came to see you earlier. Femke just wove it off.
"Has Thranduil changed his mind yet?" I sadly shook my head. "I'm sorry." "Don't work yourself up about it... I didn't expect differently." I gave her a quick smile. "You might want to go and see Esmee, she really wants to see you." I nodded and quickly squeezed Femke's hand. "She's in the next cell."
