(Noa's POV)
I sat on a bench somewhere in the gardens of Rivendell and I was quietly reading when Linde worriedly ran towards me with something that looked like and envelope in her hand. I closed my book and put it aside. "What is wrong?" I asked and Linde stopped in front of me, heavily breathing. "I got this letter from Femke and Esmee." She said and gave me the envelope.
I quickly read the letter, it said:
Hello Linde and Noa,
Well, this is quite awkward. We are in Thranduil's dungeons... again but guess who's not here? Oh wow you guessed right! You two! So, before you name us all kinds of unfriendly things I'll tell you why we're here. It's really simple actually. A few dwarves entered the house we're staying in and then we joined their squad. We continued their journey and we had to go through the beautiful(ly disgusting) forest you call home. We were attacked by spiders and then captured by our lovely friend with the beach blond playboy hair. Now, his incredibly annoying father has thrown us in his dungeons and it doesn't matter what we say or do, he won't let us go.
Of course you can just ignore this letter but that wouldn't be very nice. You two bitches are probably sitting on a hot beach with tequila or something like that just getting drunk and smoking some weird kind of weeeeeed you've found along the way or bought from a weird guy who deals drugs they have invented here in Middle-Earth. We would really appreciate it if you guys would come back and convince the Queen to let us and our squad go and do some really important things. Oh, sorry did we hurt your feeling now that we've called Thranduil a Queen? Well too bad cuz we really just want to get the fuck out of here! Okay thank you! <3
Sincerely,
Your best friends (at least we hope we still are) Joriam and thirteen really, really angry, annoyed, elf hating dwarves.
I looked up from the letter. "Femke has written this, hasn't she?" I asked and Linde slowly nodded. "I think so, Esmee probably would've brought it a bit... I dunno... nicer." I deeply sighed. "Well, we can't stay here. We have to go back and get them out of the dungeons." I said and Linde agreed. "I'll go and see Lord Elrond immediately." Linde said and walked off. I stood up and went to my room. I was just about to open the door when Lindir quickly passed me, he didn't seem very happy. "Lindir? Are you okay?" I asked and I firmly stopped. "I'm fine." He said with a shaky voice and his back turned to me.
"Lindir, are you crying?" I asked walking towards him. He slightly turned to reveal red eyes and tear stained cheeks. "What happened?" I asked placing my hand on his arm. "It's nothing... just nothing." He said but I didn't believe it, obviously. "You can tell me, Lindir." Lindir calmed himself down a bit and regained his posture. "Are you and Linde really leaving?" He asked and I nodded.
"Well, I'm afraid that when you go back... Linde and Legolas will make up." I frowned. "Would you rather have them hate each other?" I asked but Lindir quickly shook his head. "No, not at all! I... I wouldn't want to see Linde hurt like that but I had hoped that I could be there to comfort her." I finally caught up and understood what he meant. "You love her." I said and Lindir slowly nodded.
"If you'll go back, Prince Legolas will say sorry." I shrugged. "I'm not sure, last time we saw him, he was really angry." I said making Lindir sigh. "I know he will. A few days ago Linde had received a letter from the Prince and I had to deliver it." Lindir stopped for a second. "And you didn't give it to her." I guessed. "I did! I told her it was a letter from Prince Legolas but she told me she didn't want it. I... was really curious so I read the letter."
I looked at Lindir in shock. "You read her letter? Without her permission?" I asked and Lindir nodded ashamed. "Oh, Lindir... what must I do with you?" I asked slowly shaking my head. "Please don't tell Linde." He begged. "Who's going to tell her if it's not me?" I asked. "I'll do it myself." He said. "You better hurry up cause I want to leave tonight."
