Chapter 23: An Uchiha is Born [Naruto]

It had been hours. Hours since I had last seen my parents, hours since I had last seen Sasuke and hours that I had been sitting here waiting. I sighed then as I got to my feet. I had to check it out. The fighting had at least sounded like it had stopped. I re-activated my sharingan then as I slowly lifted the tatami mat. I peered around the room searching for chakra or movement but found nothing and even as I listened there was only an unsettling silence that met my ears. I jumped out then and walked silently from the temple.

“Princess your still alive” I turned, just as I was slammed into a wall. I looked up only to see the man from the Akatsuki. The man with the orange mask.

“And you have the sharingan to” He lifted me then by my throat and slammed against the wall once more.

“I’m amazed you survived the curse mark and now this, but it seems your luck has run out” I clawed at his hand as he squeezed my neck tighter. The darkness beginning to press at the edge of my mind.

“Let her go” A voice said in the distance. I fell to the ground a moment later and began gasping and panting for air.

“Getting soft are we?” He taunted.

“I’ll kill her myself” The voice said as it slowly came into focus.

“Are you sure you’ll manage?” I was pushing myself slowly from the ground then.

“I killed my parents” I froze finally recognizing the voice and who it belonged to. Itachi, it was Itachi. Itachi killed, he killed out parents.

“Fine but you better make it quick” With that being said I felt his presence disappear. I jumped to my feet  pulling a kunai from my holster and sure enough I stood face to face with Itachi.

“You killed them, you really killed them!” His eyes met mine then and I took a step back.

“Run” I tilted my head slightly.

“What?”

“Please Rin just run” I wasn’t sure why I listened to him, but sure enough I was now running towards the entrance of the compound. I turned a corner and slammed into someone, the both of us toppling onto the ground. I managed to land above them and spun the kunai in my hand as I raised it ready to strike.

“Rin…” I managed to stop before I brought my arm down and looked down at my victim only to meet the eyes of Sasuke.

“Sasuke…”

“You’re alive!” We said in unison. I slipped off him and helped him to his feet.

“We have to get out of here now”

“But Mother and Father…”

“There dead” He stared at me then with widened eyes as he shook his head.
