Becky's POV:
Allie and I are still staying at CJ's and I'm preparing her for school.
"I don't wanna goo" Allie whines refusing to put on her other sock as the other foot is all set.
"Baby it's not so bad you'll meet friends and get to color and play with doh, don't you want to do that" she shakes her head and runs out the room. I get up and chase after her groaning until I enter the living room where CJ swoops her up and smothers her with kisses making her laugh.
"You're...not..going..anywhere but to school" he scolds between each kiss making her giggle.
"Buh daddy I wanna stay home and play with mommy" she frowns.
"But you can play with mommy when you get back home" he mocks her singing tone and frowns too. I laugh.
"Ok....fine...buh...buh I'm not staying long" she says and we laugh as I scoot her back to her room. I look back and roll my eyes at CJ.
I get her into her white sneakers to compliment the white Minny Mouse T-Shirt, the black Levi's and red and white polka dot bow in her hair that's snugged tightly in one.
"Alright grab your backpack" I say keeping a close eye on her every move. She drags it off the bed and strolls out to the car. I grab my purse, bags and jacket and get in.
"Seatbelt" I say and she buckles up and crosses her arms.
"Unfold those arms Missy" I say sternly and she pouts and does so. I lean back and kiss her pouted lips then buckle up.
We get to a stop light and she's grabbing at my papers.
"Did daddy give you snacks?" She nods and sits back and sighs.
"What's wrong?" I ask moving off from the lights.
"It's taking forerrrrrrver" I laugh
"Its forever baby not forerver" I correct her pronounciation.
"That's whutt I said" I laugh and shake my head.
I finally pull into the school parking lot and get her things out and hand in hand we walked to her classroom.
"Good morning!" The teacher greets us at the door. Allie squeezes my hand and backs up.
"Hi morning this is Allianna and I'm her mother Becky" I never let strangers know my name, shiid I doan think shaks even knew it. Only CJ
"Splendid I'm Mrs.Dottin and I'll be her teacher for this year" she smiles brightly and stoops to talk to Allie.
"How about you play with Sarah over there with the PlayDoh and let mommy get to work" Allie nods slowly and walks over to Sarah who hands her doh.
"Wow nice I couldn't even get her socks on" we laugh and I hand her Allie's bag.
"So she has her blanket, crayons, coloring book, snacks and a change of clothes in here"
"Awesome you can pick her up at 3"
"Well thank you Mrs.Dottin"
"Pssshh call me Jen" I nod and smile. I wave at Allie who runs over to me.
"Where are you going?"
"To work baby but I'll be back soon okay?" She nods and hugs me tightly.
I am on my way to work at the daycare when my phone rings.
"Ello"
"Hey Becky it's Renée and I was wondering if I left my purse in your car by any chance" I scan the back seat and check the compartments. It was nestled on my papers.
"Yah it's here I'll swing by" I say and hang up. I head off to CJ's firm and arrived in 10 minutes time.
I went up to the desk and asked for Renée Jenkins. I was lead down the corridor then left and the second red door on the right.
"Knock knock" I say entering.
"Hey morning"
"Morning here it is"
"Thanks a lot Becky...coffee?"
"Naw I'm actually late for work"
"Oh well take it to go and I'll see you at home" she smiles and I grab coffee and was on my way.
She gives me an uncomfortable feeling but I'll get over it.
"Morning omg you're like an hour late Becky" Lily says running up to me like they'd been an emergency and I wasn't there to help.
"I'm sorry this morning was hectic"
"Its OK" she smiles and nudges me. She scares me sometimes.
"So what'd I miss?" I ask resting my bags under the desk
"Oh nothing just Jacob coloring his nostrils" she says sighing
"Oh no not again" I say frowning
"Don't worry I called his mom and she says he does that at home that we should probably keep him away from the crayons"
Well duhhh
"Right..." I say walking past her to examine Jacob's nose and check for cuts.
"Lily he has a rash" she comes over and sees the area.
"Think Ms.Thompson saw that?"
"I highly doubt that" I say getting up to call his mother.
"She says she'll carry him to the clinic when she pick him up" I sat returning about 5 minutes later.
"Good because it looks contagious" Lily says frowning.
"Haaa Lil let's get them their books" I laugh and shake my head.
3:00 comes fast and unfortunately there's still 3 children waiting for their parents. I mean school finishes at 2:00 for these kids but their parents take forever to collect them. Lily has gone to collect her son from school and she'll be back to lock up at 3:30.
3:15 and 1 child is left.
"Hey don't cry mommy's gonna come get you soon" I say comforting the little guy. He's 1 and very cute. I lift him and carry him to the window to see when his mother drives in. Lily comes back at 3:26pm to lock up and few seconds later his mother shows up.
"See there she is" he nods licking his snot and I put him down and gather his things.
"I'm so sorry I had an accident back home" his mother explains.
"It's okay he wasn't any trouble" I said shaking his hair and waving as they head to the car.
"Lil I've gotta collect Allie get home safe" I say rushing to gather my bags.
"Ok you too" she hugs me and heads over to the desk for the school keys. I jog to my car and fastened my seat belt.
"Hello?" I say into my phone that rings as soon as I start up the car.
"Hi Ms.Dawe there's a man here to collect your daughter?"
"Huh? Who?" I say with my hand on the wheel.
"Wha- oh CJ Jenkins?"
"Oh that's her father it's okay" I say relieved.
"Ok so he has her then"
"Okay thanks" I hang up and sigh.
Today was a busy day indeed.
