Shaks' POV:
After 15 years in the slammer I'm looking forward to seeing some changes. I knock repeatedly until a tall girl looking no older than 13 opens up and I stutter.
"Uhh- I think I have the wrong house"
"Who are you looking for?" She asks with twisted brows.
"Umm Tasha Manzel" I reply and she smiles and raises her finger.
"Mom!" She shouts and I wait...surprised. Tasha has another child?
Tasha pops up with a kitchen towel in her hand.
"Shaks?" She asks surprised and I nod.
"Taylor go inside" the girl heads inside and my attention is quickly turned back to Tasha.
"Wow you look-"
"Cut to the chase shaks what do you want?" She cuts me off.
"Umm I just got out"
"I can see that" she said with a blank face as if gesturing me to get on with the point.
"Umm I just stopped by to see how you're doing" she rolls her eyes and closes the door but I push it back gently.
"Look can I at least see my son?" I ask and she opens up and sighs.
"Seon!" She calls out and this tall guy comes to the door. He looks so big!
"Hey big guy!" I say and he raises one brow.
"Seon this is your father Shaquon" Tasha says crossing her arms and he squints then smiles a bit.
"He-hey dad" he says and I pull him into a tight hug. He hugs back and I withdraw to see his growth.
"Wow you're almost taller than me" I laugh and he smiles.
"How have you been?" I ask and he raises his lips as if saying ehhh.
"Good I guess how about you?"
"I've been managing" there was a tiny gap of silence before I suggested,
"Let's go out tonight" I smile and he nods as if excited.
"Great I'll be back to pick you up at 6:00 and I'll have him back by 10 Tasha" she rolls her eyes and leads Seon inside after he says goodbye. I skip down the stairs to head over to my next destination.
"Open up!" I shout and I see a shadow approaching the door through the blinds.
"Man who the fuc-" snook opens up a bit disturbed and then his facial expression changes when he sees me. Without any necessary speech he pulls me into a tight embrace and I gladly hug back. He finally let's go and I could see he's on the verge of tearing up.
"Stop all that crying you lil bitch" I smile and he chuckles.
"Ain't nobody crying man get chur skinny ass in here" he drags me inside and jogs to the fridge to get him a bottle of water.
"Here you go, damn when did you get out?" He asks sitting beside me at the edge of the chair.
"Last week, I got a new ride then I went home to check out the place but I stopped by Becky today then Tasha, I didn't know Tasha had another child" I said and snook chuckled.
"How would you know?" He rolls his eyes.
"Yah but I didn't think she'd find someone so quickly that girl's all grown" he nods.
"She's a twin" I nearly choke on my water.
"Really?" He nods again
"A boy"
"Wow..that's great.." He nods again.
"Man how've you been?" He laughs as if finally hearing what he was waiting for.
"I've been moving" he says and I smirk.
"You gon end right back in jail that's what" I laugh and he shakes his head.
"Anyways we should go out tonight! Pick up few chicks and celebrate man!" Snook says smiling and I raise one brow.
"Naw I got plans, I'm taking out Seon" he nods and gets up to go for his phone that's ringing.
"Yh...aiite..easy"
He comes back and takes up his keys and flicks his hand to gesture me to come. I get up and follow.
"Where you going?" I ask as he locks the door.
"Gotta early drop" he says and I laugh.
"Man hmu after you done" he nods and pounds my fist and jogs to his jeep while I hop into my new Toyota and head home.
Becky's POV:
After the beach CJ took us to Subway to get proper food because the sandwiches were filled with sand. I'm still laughing at that event.
"That ain't even funny mom" Allie gets out and slams the car door storming into the restaurant.
"It's not funny Becky" I laugh and he heads in as well.
So this is what went down, Allie had a sandwich and haaa I saw a crab coming at her hand so I got up quickly and apparently I kicked the sand and it landed on her sandwich and on her face so I laughed and stumbled and fell onto the bowl of sandwiches on CJ's lap causing them to scatter. It was extremely funny. So Allie got vex and CJ was annoyed so we decided to get subs.
"C'mon CJ it was funny!" I yelled before jogging in behind them.
"Good afternoon welcome to Subways can I help you?" CJ nods and calls out his toppings. Allie had already ordered and I ordered mine. We went and sat while the sub grilled.
"Drinks?" I ask before sitting.
"7up" Allie says crossing her arms.
"Coke" CJ says and I go over to the counter to buy them.
"Hey Becky!" I turn and see Shaks coming over.
"Hey!" I say and he hugs me.
"What are you doing here?" I ask smiling.
"I went home and saw all the food spoiled and I don't feel like cooking so I came down here" I chuckled and he laughs and we buy our drinks.
"You haven't changed one bit" he says smirking.
"Neither you" I smile and he takes his drink.
"We should hang out sometime" I nod and he leaves with his order. I watch him leave in his white Toyota? That must have been him that morning... Nah-
"Excuse me!" I look and see the lady handing me my drinks and calling me for my order. CJ comes over and helps me then shakes his head and returns to our table.
"You should see Becky trynna hold all the food" CJ chuckles and Allie laughs as if picturing it in her head. I nudge him and laugh.
Shaks : so Saturday night 7:00?
Me: lol sure ☺☺☺
"Who's that?" CJ asks chewing his sub.
"Umm shaks" I smile and put the phone away.
"Okay..." He goes back eating and I sip my drink.
