Becky's POV:
I'm staring him in his eyes for nearly 3 minutes now.
"Mom I think the shoes are too big" I didn't take my eyes off him and he wasn't easing up.
"Mom!"
"Yes?"
"Can we go back to the mall, please I know you're tired but I really need to get them now before they're all gon-"
"Okay okay let's go" I turn my attention to Allie and she smiles and runs to her room to grab the box. I try to slip past him but he firmly grabs my hand.
"Aren't you gonna introduce me to your family?" I could hear the anger in his husky voice.
"Let go.." I say shaking. He laughs and grips tighter. I look into the corner of my eye and see CJ sitting comfortably sorting the papers.
"I missed you Becky, didn't you miss me?"
"No..let me go..now" I looked back into his eyes trying to hide my fright.
"You're just like-"
"Okay mom lets go!" Allie comes out and he quickly let's go and steps back. I quickly grab Allie's hand and drag her downstairs.
"Babe I'm taking Allie back to the mall" I say trying to fight the urge of crying.
"Oh..ummm ok" I quickly dash through the door pulling Allie along.
"I can walk on my own mom!" She says tugging away.
Allie's POV:
I get in and my mother pulls out quickly, she doesn't tell me to put on my seatbelt as usual nor did she slip on her shades..
"Mom are you okay?" She ignored me and sped up.
"Mom?"
"Put on your seatbelt!" I quickly put it on and sit up.
We arrive at the mall and she got out and so did I, snuggling the box under my arm tightly. She locked the door and looked around. I looked around too then she stared at me.
"Whutt?" She's really starting to scare me..
"Nothing c'mon" she gestures me to come and we hurry inside. Once I enter the store I quickly tried on a smaller size and luckily I got the last pair.
"Thanks mom" I smile and she walks slowly.
"Mom are you okay?" She looks at me and nods.
"I'm hungry, wanna grab a burger and fries?" She smiles and I smile a crooked smile and follow her to the food court. She orders and sits with me until they are finished.
"Mom if you're not feeling well we can go home and you can rest"
"No honey I'm fine, I promise" she smiles and I can't help but smile back.
Becky's POV:
After we eat I sit and text CJ.
Me : is your client still there?
CJ : no he actually left shortly after you, why?
Me : nothing I was just wondering.
CJ : oh okay well bring me back a sub ☺
Me : lool okay babe.
"Ready?" Allie nods and grabs her bag.
"We've gotta stop at Subways to get your dad a sub" I tell Allie as we head outside.
"Okay great" she crosses the parking lot but something catches my eye. A white Toyota....
It can't be!
I casually walk over to my car and get in, buckle up and start up the engine. I couldn't make out the person but I'm sure it's him, it must have been him that day I went to the supermarket...
"Are we leaving or what?" Allie interrupts my thoughts and I laugh and pull off.
We get home and I get Allie inside to prepare herself for the shower, it's 7:45pm. She skips upstairs and I join CJ on the couch to watch, none other than 'Sponge Bob'.
"Here you go" I give him his sub and he smiles and checks the toppings. All good!
"Babe...how long are you working with this new client?" He swallows before replying,
"Probably 2 weeks why?"
"Nothing I'm just curious, you need to rest"
"Becky I'm fine, I can't turn down cash and his case is easy" he smiles and I sigh.
"What was he held account of?" I anxiously ask,
"Becky you know that's confidential" he smiles and kisses my forehead. Well it was worth the try.
Around 10:45 I was feeling tired but CJ was still going through his files.
"Babe I'm going to bed"
"Okay I'll be there shortly" he smiles and I head upstairs to get into my sleep wear. I lie down and stare at total darkness.
I close my eyes and reminisce.
C'mon! Hurry! Sit back and put on your seatbelt. Be quiet! Everything's gonna be okay, I promise..
"Babe, are you sleeping?" I turn when CJ flicks on the light and sit up when I see him walking over to the bed.
"No"
"I'm sorry that I have been so busy lately, I promise I'll make it up to you on Friday" he smiles and rubs my hand. He leans in and kisses me then gets up and goes to the bathroom.
I sigh and flick on the TV.
Allie's POV:
It's already 11:00 and I can't sleep, I'm so excited about Friday, I grab my phone off the night stand and unlock the screen to see 2 messages from Danny
D ❤ : nighty night Al.
D ❤ : I just wanted to know what your favorite color was..
Me : hi Danny lool it's purple xD
D ❤ : awesome see you tomorrow at school :)
Me : bye .
I smile and rest back my phone and turn to go to sleep.
