Becky's POV:
"Allianna if you don't stop that right now you can forget about the movies!" I shout at Allie who's throwing a tantrum about wearing her Vans. I'd prefer for her to wear open toe shoes till her toes stop burning from wearing them last week.
"Then I'm not going!" She storms into her room and slams the door. Hol' tf up.
"Allianna Serenity Dawe get your ass back here now!" I hear the door creaks and she stands by the kitchen arch.
"Who am I?"
"Mommy" she whispers.
"Who?"
"Mommy" she says a little louder.
"Good now don't those shoes burn your toes?" She nods.
"I can't hear you!"
"Yes" she says.
"Now go and put on those sandals under your bed before I steam you!" She pouts and prances to put them on.
"I'm back are you guys ready?" CJ pops in 5 minutes later from the theatre where he got the tickets to avoid the hassle.
"Two minutes I had to deal with Allie"
"Oh um I called Taylor's and Danny's mother and she says they're already there"
"Great" Allie prances to the car and CJ stops her.
"Hey beautiful why the frowny face?" She shrugs.
"Now we can't leave without smiles on our faces" he says smiling. She laughs and runs to the car.
"Well then" he laughs and I roll my eyes.
"Where's your smile?" He says stepping in my way. I laugh
"Quit it!" I smiled and pushed him slightly. He locked up and I hopped into his car.
"Seatbelt" I look back at Allie and she buckles up. I buckle up and CJ starts up the car.
We arrive at the theater at 4:32pm and see Taylor and Danny standing by a lady and another boy.
"Taylor!" Allie runs over to her.
"Hi Allie" Taylor says.
CJ and I walk over to them and I tap her mother who's on the phone. She turns and holds up her finger.
"Tasha?" I say surprised.
"...I'll call you back" she hangs up and stares at me.
"Becky?" She smiles slightly and that gave me the okay to hug her.
"Wow it's been awhile" I say laughing and looking down at Seon.
"Hey big guy!" I shake his hair and he smiles.
"Wow it's a small world"
"Indeed..."
"Can we go inside now?" Allie asks and Tasha laughs and walks inside with her hand around Allie's shoulder and talking to her. I guess she doesn't know what went down that night. CJ and I exchange smiles and follow inside.
"I'm gonna grab the popcorn" I recounted the heads and head to the snack booth.
"Yes thank you" I replied to the cashier who double checked my order of 4 popcorns and 4 sodas abd Allie's M&Ms.
"That'll be $20.50" I pull out a $20 bill and search my pocket for the change.
"Here you go" I turn and Tasha hands me the change.
"Thanks" I take the orders and with her help we stroll back to our seats.
"So Tash how's everything at home?" I ask.
"Well it's been crazy at first but I got use to it and we're managing"
"Oh..I'm sorr-" she cuts me off
"Hey doan sweat, it's the past lets just move on" she smiles and walks faster. Sigh.
I hand over the popcorn and sodas and finish the movie.
"That was so much fun, did you have fun Taylor?" Allie says excited. Taylor nods and smiles. They seem shy a bit.
"Okay Allie say goodbye so we can get you home and washed up"
"Okay, bye Taylor bye Danny, bye Tasha" they hug and CJ gets Allie in the car while I say my goodbyes.
"Well Tasha it was nice seeing you get home safely" she hugs me and I hug Seon tightly then watch as Tasha goes the opposite direction with her children.
I buckle up and CJ drives off. The drive is quiet since Allie dozed off and CJ was more focused on the road.
"You okay?" CJ breaks the silence and I smile.
"Of course" he rubs my hand and continues driving.
We arrive at home and I open the door while CJ gets Allie. He takes her upstairs and lays her down.
"Well she went down fast"
"We should take her to the movies more often" I laugh and kick off my shoes then sit back and turn on the TV.
"Haa I agree" he sits beside me and sit back kicking up his feet on the coffee table.
"Are you okay?" I ask him
"What do you mean?"
"I mean how are you handling the divorce"
"Well.. I'm actually handling it pretty well..she's right, I have my family right here" he says pulling me into a tight hug.
I look at him and he smiles. His smile fades as he leans in to-
"Mommy can you come lay down with me?" I look up and see Allie rubbing her eyes holding her teddy bear.
"Sure baby" I get up tapping CJ's knee and following her back to her bed. I look back and mouth 'goodnight' to CJ then continue up the stairs to lay with Allie. I tuck her in and lay uncovered kissing her forehead.
"I love you mommy"
"I love you too Allie" I stroke her hair and doze off.
CJ's POV:
I go upstairs at 11:10pm to check on Allie and Becky and open the door to see them both snuggled up together. I go in and cover up Becky and tucked in Allie.
"I love you Allie" I say kissing her.
"I love you Becky" I kissed her forehead and pulled her hair behind her ear before leaving them both to sleep peacefully.
