" But Mom, Matt and Sarah said it would be a good choice to have a roommate."
" No, you can't trust these kids now a days and you actually going to listen to your brother."
" And what's wrong with my idea again? Oh yeah, I forgot I didn't go to college." Matt joined in the conversation.
" Matt please don't be ridiculous." My mom responded while grabbing the bowl full of bread sticks.
" No Mom, I don't think I'm being ridiculous. You are and I'm so tired of always coming over here and have a negative conversation with you."
" I don't make it negative you do. Honey, do you want some mash potato?" My mom asked her husband.
" You know what.." Matt left the table.
" Mom.."
" Celine, I don't want to hear a word out of your mouth. Now eat."

I'm temporarily staying with my mom and her husband until the condo complex call me back.. hopefully its some time soon. As I was studying, I noticed Sarah calling me.
" Yeah hello?"
" Hey girl, what you doing?" Sarah asked.
" Nothing studying, what about you?"
" In this dorm room by myself, oh yeah and I suppose to be having a dorm mate by next week."
" Well.. you will soon have company."
" I know, but girl Mr.Banks really tripping with this 10 page essay on some damn book I barely even read."
" How about you read the book and do the essay."
" Look, I know what to do but since he is your step dad aka married to your mo-" I cut Sarah off.
" Uh no Sarah because he is married to my mom doesn't mean I set the assignments up and plus, you are the only person on that campus knows he is my step dad. I don't need anyone thinking I'm the homework plug, which I'm not."
" Geesh okay grandma, I'm going to call you back so I can start on this homework."
" That's my girl." She started laughing then hung up. I continued studying then looked at the time which was 9:34 p.m. I laid on my bed and drifted on to sleep.

" Wake up Celine, we don't want you late for your first class." My mom said as she busted in my door.
" Mom look at the time, I literally just laid down." I groaned as I turned around in bed.
" Okay and it's 10:45 a.m."
" Time does fly by." I said as I sat up in bed then my mom walks out my room. I took a quick shower, put on some clothes, threw my hair in a bun and then ate a quick breakfast sandwich and left out the house. I drove to school today because I didn't feel like calling up Sarah, knowing her she was going to be late.
I took my seat in class then I noticed I received a email notification from the condo complex I put a application in for and they approved me I was so happy because I couldn't take one more of my mom and her nasty ways. Sarah came in class late and scanned through each row to find me until her eyes met with mines, so she made her way through the seats and sat by me.
" I stay off campus and still beat you here. What a shame?" I said while laughing.
" Girl .. forget you."
" I got the place."
" Omg, are you kidding?"
" No, they sent me a notification saying I'm approved but I'm going to get the key after class. You coming?"
" Hell yeah. But who's the cutie over there?"
" Where?"
" Right in front of us."
" Oh, I don't know." I said as I looked up when I was taking notes.
" Okay, That's All For Today Class." Mr.Banks (My mom husband) said. As I was putting my notebooks in my bookbag, I heard someone say something.
" Excuse Me?"
" Wh- Yes." I said as I looked up and seen who it was.
" Um.. I'm New Here And I Don't Have The Notes From The Previous Days. Do You Mind Letting Me See Your Notes?" He asked. I was just fantasying and the lord knows my mind was all in the gutter, but I was going to be a good, sweet innocent girl.
" Oh yeah, of course. You can give it, the notes, back to me tomorrow."
" Okay, thank you."
" Your welcome." I watched as he walked off until Sarah snapping got me out of my daze.
" Dang, you feeling the kid?"
" I don't even know him and all he asked for was my notes."
" Soon he will be asking for some sugar, you gone let him hold that too?" Sarah said while laughing.
" You know what, let's go before I miss my appointment."
" Here goes your keys and I hope you enjoy your stay." The rent office personal said.
" Thank you, thank you." I said as she walked out and I started looking around.
" Girl .. I got me my own place." I started singing and dancing.
" Yes, now you can get you a roommate."
" Can I enjoy the place to myself first?"
" You right, at least bring your bed in here. I know you don't want to spend another night with your mom, especially after telling her this news."
" You is so right, well let's go get some stuff."
