" Do you think this will fit Cassie well?" My mom asked the stylist.
" I don't like the color green."
" I don't like the color green." She told the stylist.
" Do we have any solid colors?"
" Uh.. sure, hold on."
" Hey mom, so I don't have a date for tonight?"
" I guess not because Tyler manager said he is sick and won't make it." I looked down reading a article about Tyler just coming from a tanning store, but didn't care to tell my mom.
" So, I guess you not having a date but hey I heard you rock better solo anyway." The stylist came back in this black dress and it really fit my mood and still looked presentable for tonight.
" Go put it on." My mom pushed and rushed me in the bathroom.
I came back out with the dress on.
" Tyler is gonna be real lucky." Laurence said.
" Sorry Laurence but I think Tyler is not going to be my date tonight."
" And why not?"
" Because he feel like the tanning is body is more important, but I don't care. I want to successfully get through this night without any problems."
" You right, but I can be your date let me go and get ready." That's why I love Laurence because he always make a shitty situation all better.
At the event..
Me and Laurence walked in at the party together. The place looked pretty packed and it was full of boujie rich people, so me and Laurence knew to turn our fake smile and personality on.
" Hey Cassie, you look wonderful." Lauren London said.
" Aw thank you babe, you know I try."
" Oh yeah, my friend is coming so lemme go and check to see where she at." I nod my head at her and she walked away. I turned to face Laurence and he was looking like the wasn't feeling the event.
" Hey, you good?" I walked up and asked him.
" Oh I'm good just looking around for a little cutie." He said turning his head to Trey Songz.
" Oh no baby boy he ain't gay."
" Who said I can't turn em out?" I started laughing so hard.
" I'm not about to deal with you tonight."
" Hey Cas, you talked with Chris?" I shook my head no and we started talking then Lauren whispered in my ear saying her friend is here.
" Okay, well you can tell her to come meet me." She nod her head and walked off.
" What she say?"
" That her friend is here."
" Okay and what do her friend want you to do again?"
" She want me to promote her upcoming clothing line."
" Ooo, I smell basic honey."
" Really? You always smelling something. What you smell now?" I asked while whispering to him while Lauren and her friend walked to me.
" She's cute, but I smell something fishy about her and its not her cat."
" Shhh.. here she come.." Laurence rushed to say.
" Hi, I'm Samantha." She put out her hand for me to shake.
" Hey, I'm Cassie and this is my good friend Laurence." I shook her hand and Laurence nod his head in greetings.
" So before we get to business let's get personal honey." Laurence said.
" What you mean?" She asked confused.
" Who is your date? Do you even have a date?"
" My boyfriend.. he is running a tad bit late, but.." She trialed off looking down at her phone.
" Nevermind here he come." She said looking up to a guy that looks similar to Chris.
" Okay who?" Laurence asked trying to be funny.
" Christopher." Samantha said while putting her hand on his chest and he started smiling until he looked at me.
" Oops, let me introduce you guys. Okay baby this is Cassie she's the one I want to promote my clothing line." I rolled my eyes as she talked to him.
" Cassie are you okay?" Lauren asked.
" I'm perfectly fine never been better." I said sarcastically then my mom walked up with some dude beside her.
" Hey, I'm sorry but Cassie this is Sean.. Sean Combs." I shook his hands, I mean he is fine and all but his age look quite older but eh I'm not getting any younger.
Chris cleared his throat loudly.. purposely and I turned my head to Sean.
" You are looking beautiful tonight."
" Aw thank you and you are looking handsome, I love this suit. Who's the designer?"
" Givenchy."
" Ooo, I love their clothing.. very presentable." I noticed Chris rolled his eyes.
" Aren't you a music producer?" Chris asked.
" Yeah, I have been in the game for a long time now."
" Probably way before my time, huh?" Chris mumbled.
" What you say?" Sean asked.
" Oh nothing." Chris flashed a fake smile.
" But Cassie, can I have your number?"
" Sure." I programmed my number in his phone then he pecked my cheeks and walked off.
" He is handsome." Samantha said.
" Yeah he is, but you have my number, right?"
" I can always get it from Lauren."
" Yeah you're right, but I'm going to go explore the place a little more. See you later.. Laurence come on." We walked off and started talking.
" Um okay, you tell me the tea on everything but if I'm not mistaken that look like the Chris you been telling me about."
" That is the Chris I have been talking about and the thing is that his girl is the one that wants me to promote her clothing line."
" So, he mainly downgraded?"
" I don't know, I mean I can't help another sister grind."
" Fuck all that the bitch took your man."
" Oh no, she never took my man. She wasn't around when me and him was talking.. I think."
" You think? So you don't know if he was messing around with this chick when y'all was together."
" I hope not because the situation would not end off pretty."
" Speak of the devil." Laurence whispered to me until I looked up to see Chris walking toward us.
" Why is he coming over here?" He whispered.
" No telling." I whispered as I took a sip from my wine.
" Hey Cel- I mean Cassie, do you have a minute that we can talk?" I looked at Laurence and he gave the look and walked off.
" I didn't think we would be at the same event." I nod my head.
" Um.. you look amazing."
" Thank you."
" Why are you not really talking?"
" I think its better if we just keep this whole thing between us as friends."
" You're right, I mean my love for you will never change."
" Chris I'm pretty sure it will and plus, you look happy. So I'm going to leave you alone." I walked away to grab Laurence and told him I was ready to go, so we left and I felt that this whole night was just too much.
