Today I had to go to volleyball practice, p.s yes I did make the team. When I was heading off to the gym, I saw the twins outside talking with the rest of their teammates. I tried to hurry and walk past them before they noticed me but they called my name before I knew it.
I walked over there to them.
" Dang, so you don't see us over here?" Devin as ked as he put his arm around my neck.
" I did, I just saw that y'all was talking so I didn't wanna interrupt."
" We was just talking about our upcoming game." I nod my head at Devin.
" When y'all games?" Kevin asked looking in my bag for snacks.
" Um some time next week, so we been practicing like crazy." Everybody nod their head.
" You single?" Some boy asked me. I noticed he been standing there ever since me and the twins started talking.
" Nah bruh, that's all Danny." Kevin jumped in and said quickly.
" Oh damn I know I can't fuck with you then." I started laughing at his comment.
" Well I do have a mouth of my own." I nudged Kevin and got my bag from him.
" But look I have practice to get to, I will see y'all later." They all said their goodbyes and I walked off to the locker room.
I have to admit me and my teammates have gotten along, expect for Nadia and her two lab rats, she call as friends.
" Wassup Jess." I walked in and greeted Jessica, the coach daughter, she also plays volleyball for the school.
" Hey Nat." She gave me a hug and continued getting ready.
" Ooo, I know the prom is next Saturday, you ready?"
" Yeah, I'm ready but nobody has asked me." I shook my head because Kevin have a crush on Jessica and he said he plan on taking her to the prom, but he haven't even asked her yet.
" Trust me somebody gone take you."
" Girl please." She shut her locker and I closed mines too, we was done getting ready.
As we was walking out the locker room talking, Nadia walked up to me.
" Mhm, I heard you and Danny relationship on the rocks. Tell em to hit me up." She whispered in my ear as she brushed past me with a laugh on the end.
I looked back at her and before I could go over where she was at, Jessica pulled me back.
" Girl she ain't worth it, I'm telling you." I nod my head and walked out the locker room.
" Okay ladies fall in line." Coach Dianne said. The girls got in line.
As we was practicing all of a sudden the gym doors open and everybody stopped what they was doing.
" Is Jessica in here?"
" Yeah, she's right there." Nadia pointed her out and Jessica looked at me.. Jessica ain't like Nadia either.
" Come here." Kevin said aloud, Jessica walked over where Kevin was at.
Then Devin walked in with a banner saying " I Finally Have The Balls to Ask You to Prom ?" All the girls started saying aww.
" So Jessie will you go prom with me?" He asked her while holding her hands.
" Yes Kevin." She said with a smile and gave him a hug. Everybody started clapping.
