Later that day Natasha had built up the confidence the go to Bucky's room he was currently staying in.
He appeared to be sleeping but his unconscious state was due to a sedative which allowed Bruce to run tests.
Natasha looked at the face she hadn't seen for seventy years.
It felt like only a single day had past.
He still looked like James, he just had longer hair now.
His face however, was the same one she fell in love with all those years ago. She still loved him, she never stopped loving him.
Natasha reached up and felt for the chain around her neck.
She pulled it out from under her clothes. The red star still looked brand new even though it was been around her neck for seventy years.
She never let James go.
"I think we need to talk."
Natasha quickly let go of the necklace and folded her arms.
She turned to look at Steve.
She released a shaky breath she'd been holding in before nodding.
"Yea, not here", she answered quietly.
Steve smiled.
"I've just made tea in my room?"
Natasha smiled thankfully and agreed.
